    Best Winger in the League

I've been pretty underwhelmed by Esse to be honest. I said in another thread the other day, clearly very talented but his lack of experience sticks out like a sore thumb. His decision making on the ball in particular is something he desperately needs to work on. Sakamoto isn't the best winger...

As others have said I can see subs being made much earlier rather than FL making wholesale changes to the Starting XI. We don't seem to cope very well with big lineup changes.

Tbf to him the Championship must also be a shock to the system to any player that isn't all that used to games coming thick and fast. Especially when you factor in how physical it is.

Onyeka really is the only question mark for me as he looked knackered as soon as he stepped on the pitch last night but depends how he feels. The intensity of the game on Saturday should in theory be more manageable so he might be alright.

Who makes it in the Prem?

I would imagine we'll also owe a fair amount in add-ons for existing players as well in the event we do go up. EMC, Wright, MVE, Simms etc.

    Woolfenden

Clearly they're both decent players at this level but neither Wolfenden nor KKH have particularly impressed when they've featured. To break into a successful side you have to take your chances when opportunities arise and unfortunately for them neither really have. Makes FL's decision re...

    Lati

I think it's more than a run of games for Kitching. He's been inconsistent since probably West Brom (H) way back in November when he was largely culpable for both their goals. He'd be badly exposed in the PL IMO.

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

I'd be more inclined to risk him if it was an away game. But given we tend to keep our shape much better at home I'd be fine if it was decided he needed a break.

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

None of the midfield were great last night, especially in the first half. I also thought he looked knackered which played a big part in him perhaps not having the best game.

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

We didn't need a midfielder that's good on the ball though - Torp, Eccles, and Grimes are all excellent in that department. We needed one that can do the dirty work by breaking up play, putting tackles in, and providing additional cover in front of the backline in the transition. To be honest...

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

Yeah but Bristol generally are a team that tends to sit in more than Stoke do. Stoke's average possession % pretty much mirrors ours over the course of this season. Bristol's is about 5% lower. We had 74% possession against Oxford and they had zero shots on goal. Their entire game plan was to...

Tactically - Lampard is pretty good

I don't think they'll sit in anywhere near to the extent that Oxford did. Oxford have the lowest possession % in the league this season. They literally set up just not to lose pretty much every game.

They played a very different side tonight than they did against Leicester. Robins made 5 changes.

    Sheffield United Player Ratings

Very difficult to rate as it was a game of two halves for most. Rushworth did well. MVE erratic and positionally all over the place. CBs were largely solid again. Dasilva defended well and had some good moments with the ball. Saka worked hard and helped with defence. Put himself about a bit as...

Will be interesting to see what side we put out for Stoke. A lot of knackered players out there tonight and only 2.5 days rest.

A lot of our problems in the first half came from sloppy passes / giving the ball away cheaply. Felt we kept things a lot simpler in the second half and we restricted them to half the chances.
