No, agree with that. We do dwell on the ball at times though when there's a chance of a shot.

As our crossing was so bad abd usually is ....

Just wondering why AT hasn't been on the look out for a winger/wide player rather than another striker? Don't get me wrong, we do need another striker, but what point do strikers serve if you don't get the ball into them in dangerous positions? Seems he has always been focused on centre...

The crossing was embarrassing. We all know David Bell can cross a ball. Trouble is it's one good cross for every 5 poor ones. Norwood apparently has a good shot on him and so too Bigi by all accounts. We need to try something. Their keeper didn't have to make a save today.

I do recall some fans bemoaning the fact that we were unlucky against Reading as the Reading keeper had a really good game against us. Well that's his job. By the same token we don't say we are lucky when Murphy pulls off saves to keep us in the game.

We do have people in the team with a good shot on themfrom a reasonable distance. McSheffrey, Norwood, Bigi, Thomas, Baker, Nimely, Bell. Time to start taking pots hots and trying to hit teams from the off. We looked like we were just consolidating today and trying not to lose with the hope of...

Why Thorn is a good manager - Reasons Listed

But I see Carsley as a viable option. Not saying he would be any good or do any better, but he is an option.

Why Thorn is a good manager - Reasons Listed

There are viable alternatives. Sisu just won't cough up the money.

Guess they were expecting the team to come out firing on all cylinders. And they didn't.

Come down with a bump don't you mean!

2,700 there. Nerves I guess and 8 defeats on the bounce made this an even more huge game.

    Thorn Not To Blame

I'm sure all the teams down the bottom must look at the fixture list and when they see us away from home they must rub their hands and feel a lot less pressure on them to pick up points. We are mindnumbiingly predictable on our travels.

    Thorn Not To Blame

To be fair though they did have quality players on their bench. We have a fat, disinterested, unfit Freddy Eastwood.

Maybe let the players have a Radox bath at half-time? Mandarins instead of oranges? Get them to wet their hair and slick it back for better aerodynamics?

Or Pompey to get deducted 20 points and then for them to kindly give 10 of those those minus points to Bristol City.

We're down anyway. Convinced of it. Only way we won't go down is if we pick up points on our travels. 9 defeats in a row on that front points firmly and totally towards relegation.

    Biggest game in recent history

I think we are now beyond repair. Unbelievable that our best run of form has been THREE games unbeaten and that was back in August of last year. How on earth does anyone believe we can get out of this?

    Biggest game in recent history

Disagree. Think it was huge. Probably our one true chance of an away victory against a side in appallaing form. We may have just kick started Forest's season for them.
