The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Hold on. Does this mean the Tories have finally got something right? It’s not a U turn or something Nicola Sturgeon has done first?

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Your first point is absolutely bang on. The right wing media over the last week has been predicting ghost town commercial centres unless people stop working from home and get back to the office. Typical scaremongering. The answer is obvious. We have a housing shortage, convert empty office space...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Let’s throw the question back at you and others then. How are we going measure that Brexit is a success? I won’t be accepting ideological nonsense like no unelected bureaucrats because A) that’s bollocks, we’ll always have unelected bureaucrats B) it doesn’t mean that there’s a tangible benefit...

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Yep. With no opt out for the Euro. So basically Brexits legacy will be the end of the pound.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

Calculated risks based on something tangible. Not French wine, German cars nonsense.

There’s many mechanisms for calling that from world equality reports, world happiness reports, world standard of living reports etc etc. None make good reading for righties though.

The EU: In, out, shake it all about....

There’s going to be one very immediate yard stick. Economic recovery following COVID. All countries have been hit all countries have been saddled with the economic hit of COVID. It’s a leveller in that sense. If EU countries consistently recover quicker than the U.K. as a direct result of EU...

    George Floyd

It’s becoming a recurring theme though. At some point you’ve got to say Cummings read the room wrong employing weirdos and misfits. They’re doing exactly what they say on the tin afterall.

Not just Ricky Gervais put the character of Johnathan Pie too. The later does a great show where he shares his views in character on words like woke, mansplaining etc etc. You’ll find it on you tube, it’s hilarious. As is his show about Donald Trumps tweets.

    Right wing jokes

Plenty do though. The movement on Twitter is just a reaction to that reaction and the reaction to that has done nothing to break down the stereotype of righties not having a sense of humour. The jokes on them and the majority have done the proverbial fell for it hook, line and sinker.

    Right wing jokes

It’s always been the case. Racist jokes are political to the core and have been very common in pubs and clubs, your old fashion clubs especially. Maggie got heaps of jokes thrown at her from all angles. The British have lost their sense of humour and the shift to the right has played a huge role...

    Right wing jokes

Then what’s all the fuss about then regarding the BBC and it’s output. Problem is that most comedy shows are topical and despite the claims that the right are the silent majority the opposite is true, they’re in power, they control the largest section of media and are far from the silent...

    Right wing jokes

That’s clearly a contradiction in terms. Some of the jokes are clearly funny. The first one especially as it’s multilayered given all the jokes about Diane Abbott’s maths abilities. There wasn’t a queue of lefties saying it’s not funny when compared to the massive queue of righties falling over...

    Right wing jokes

The Mash report is a good example. I personally don’t find Nish Kumar funny in the slightest but the other contributors are hilarious, including the righty Geoff Norcott.

    Right wing jokes

Your response is great Nick. The reason I started this thread is because there’s a movement on Twitter at the moment as a direct result of all the moaning about the BBC not having enough right wing comedy. So people are tweeting jokes about the right and hashtagging them right wing joke or right...
