Absolutely spot on - exactly as I saw it.

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Great shout that Brylowes. Two late Dublin goals to win the game? Hot day. Great memories!

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Most likely. We are Coventry City. Used to punishment.

Which goal made you go the most mental?

Good points Fernando and well taken. Just looked up that actual game again - we were 1-0 down and then scored 3 goals away at Leeds (who were a big deal at the time) within 10 first half minutes. That's why I went mental. And Huckerby was sensational. I guess my feeling at the time was that...

Which goal made you go the most mental?

For me it was Boxing Day, Elland Road, Huckerby scoring the third (he terrorised the Leeds defence all afternoon) after we were one-nil down. I ended up hugging a complete stranger and dancing in the aisles. Both very unusual events for me. The future looked very bright for us at that time.

    20 years ago today since....

Riyad you make some fair points. I do think it's very harsh to describe him as a one trick pony though. Huck read the game well and it wasn't just by good fortune that he was in the right place for flick ons from Dublin. In addition to his pace and sense of where the ball was going, he was...

Agree with most of this except the commentary on Huckerby. He was absolutely unplayable in many games and a complete 'game changer'. His partnership and understanding with Dublin was lethal. Huckerby was one of my favourite ever players and I would place him right up there with Dublin. No...

We finally found a team good enough to beat

I always enjoy reading these reports - thanks very much and keep at it!

A really decent team performance and the best game I have seen this season. It was intense and end to end after half time. The free kick to make it 2-0 had me jumping around like a maniac. Doesn't happen often. I believe in this team and see good things ahead. Defence outstanding again...

The overlapping run by Haynes was also important - gave Jones more space and time to measure the cross. The pass by Kelly was sublime to Jones.

Fantastic build up. Kelly. Jones. Measured cross. Clinical header. Greggs....what do you think of that!!!

Greggs to have an hysterical meltdown with anything less than a 7-0 victory and to give McNulty a zero.

Match Thread Coventry City - Colchester United Match Thread - Saturday 21st Oct

It's taken me a couple of days to get over the absolutely hysterical reaction to Tuesday's defeat. To get some perspective, it was a match that we again dominated. Forest Green Rovers got very lucky on a couple of counts. 1. Our third goal keeping clanger of the season (on this point let's...

McNulty in for DKE Kelly in for Stevenson Beavon the link between the midfield and forwards. So Beavon in for Biamou. All of these changes a little harsh on the players dropping to the bench who have performed ok. The more technical players we have on the pitch the better.

Great to hear about this passion. But your mate really doesn't know much about football - and perhaps should not phone in with rubbish after being on the ale all day. Just a suggestion. Being a super fan doesn't involve slamming the team after an unjust defeat.

Any neutral watching that will see the result as pretty unfair. As a City fan I obviously think it's totally unjust but that's football for you at times. Accrington Stanley created all of one chance all game and we absolutely played them off the park second half. No need to hit the panic...

    Happy Birthday-Mick Ferguson

An absolute legend. Powerful and prolific. The partnership with Wallace was outstanding. In the same category and class as Dublin/Huckerby. Wallace from memory was never the same player without Ferguson.

Don't agree Grendel. I don't see Beavon as an effective lone striker. But I do see him as being highly effective just in the hole behind the front man and linking play with our midfield axis. He's a really intelligent footballer and is on the same wavelength as our danger men - Nazon and...

Highly decent performance. Strong at the back again. Doyle and Kelly axis working nicely. I'm becoming a huge fan of Kelly. My own view (probably not popular on here) is that Beavon as the inside forward could be vital to this team. Links up play nicely with the midfield axis. Intelligent...

Half time thoughts from an iFollow viewer...... The early penalty was nailed on. Worst decision I have seen this season. Impressive half for us overall. I've not been the biggest advocate of Biamou but tonight he looks a real presence and threat. Jones dangerous again and his millionth assist...
