Match Thread Coventry City at Gillingham Match Thread - Saturday 25th Aug

Only three points off the play offs. Very early days. Jones to come back to add that extra dimension. Formation looks to be sorting out itself.

Many positives. Defence is looking strong. Burge a huge improvement. The formation suited us better: 4-1-4-1. I was really impressed by Shipley today and the shape he brings to the team. He has something. Allassani looked very sharp when he came on. Looking forward to seeing Allassani...

Match Thread Coventry City at AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Saturday 11th Aug

Come on man! You didn't see any positives at all? Davies, Hyam, Ogogo, Bayliss and the impact that both Brown and Biamou had on the game?

Match Thread Coventry City at AFC Wimbledon Match Thread - Saturday 11th Aug

I'm mostly with you Earlsdon on this. 2-3 things I really noticed today: 1. Bayliss is our stand out player. He needs to play centrally driving at defenders. He reminds me of a young Jack Wilshire with his technical skills and ability to carry the ball at pace. Or even a young Paul Gascoigne...

    My thoughts all in one

Half agree Singers. I see tremendous quality in the overall squad. Bayliss, Ogogo, Andreu, Jones are a class above. Mason impressed Saturday and it's important to know that fellow professionals see Brown as the best left back in this division. Willis in my opinion can play in the...

    My thoughts all in one

Let's say there are no more additions. Preferred team after 10 games? This is after all players are fully fit and settled in: Burge Sterling, Willis, Davies, Brown Kelly, Ogogo Jones, Bayliss, Andreu Hiwula The great thing about this season...

    Jack Grimmer Podcast

This interview and how well Jack comes across is why I enjoyed last season so much. Beyond some very memorable performances, the players seemed like decent lads who got along well together. For example, Grimmer, Davies, Stokesy, Jodi, Max, Burgey and even McNulty were not lads walking around...

Could not agree more. Well done to SkyBlueOl and the players involved. There's no reason SkyBlueOl why you can't make a really decent career for yourself in the media - keep working hard and following your passion - you have a natural talent for this.

Match Thread Coventry City vs Scunthorpe United Match Thread - Saturday 4th Aug

So many positives today despite the result. Two exciting young full backs with pace. Ogogo, Bayliss, Andreu would feature in most teams in this league. Absolute quality and a class above. The interplay for 70 minutes was of Championship quality. Willis is a top notch defender and we have...

Is a new Goalkeeper a priority

I agree with every word of this. Well said ISB.

Is a new Goalkeeper a priority

I watched all but a couple of games last season. I don't think it's fair to say Burgey lost us more points than gained. Keeper clangers I guess are always remembered far more than the great performances. Burgey had more than his share of great performances over the season.

Is a new Goalkeeper a priority

Burge was fantastic in the closing stages of the season. Notts County away as a good example. Even the very best keepers drop a couple of clangers over a season. It's the nature of the position. He's fast improving. We should back him. Get behind all the lads for the new season.

    Question for the historians

I wasn't. But I was certainly agreeing with your own suggestion that was the only way you'd ever get anyone rolling in the aisles given your legendary attempts at 'banter'. Nice ploy though - lose the argument and attempt to distract by writing something even more ridiculous.

    Question for the historians

You said it yourself - I totally agree.

    Question for the historians

A Total Idiot's Guide to the football season line 1 would read: 'The football season starts in August and concludes in May.'

    Question for the historians

Otis the king of bants. I bet you have them rolling in the aisles.
