Because we used to go further than the EU standards we were committed to as the bottom rung of the ladder. We haven’t transferred many of those standards into U.K. law setting the stage for a drop in standards. We actually lost our A rating last year as a direct consequence. You’ll have to look...

I don’t think any country can be classed as a shining beacon when we’re macerating live animals because it’s cost effective. Sheep are also really horrifically killed in this country for slaughter. For some reason they tend to get it worse than pigs or cows, although they don’t exactly get it...
