Bit of a stretch for the presenter to say they were ‘the better team’ and ‘dominated possession’. He said himself they didn’t create much. The game was pretty even, as you’d expect from two evenly matched sides at the top of the table. We created the better chances, end of story for them.

I went to the game with a neutral, and agreed we were the better team and Sunderland didn’t offer that much. Their best chance was the goal that was offside - he called the offside as soon as he seen it. We’re all a bit bias to our own team, but again, he felt like we had an obvious penalty...

It’s tight around us, a win vs Sunderland will be huge, even bigger than the Portsmouth win. However, all things considered, a draw wouldn’t be a bad result either. Even a loss wouldn’t be a disaster.

What really would be rash and an ‘unfathomable business decision’ by the club would be invest in a players 2 year rehabilitation, only to release him months later. A one year extension is the best of both worlds.
