    England v Belgium

France are another couple of steps better but we did beat Spain if you recall. A strong defence is a good start. Just wish we had Jack Wilshere in the middle of the park. We need someone who can control the midfield and keep things ticking.

PITTER PATTER FOOTBALL - Is it really that good ???

You get the kind of feeling that Barcelona could have won games in the first 20-30 mins if they went for the throat a bit more. They seem content to go a goal up and then just knock it about and keep possession. They certainly have the ability to play possession football and attack at pace.

PITTER PATTER FOOTBALL - Is it really that good ???

Pace I always find to be the most exciting football. You just can't beat having a team attack another team at pace. The best football we have played over the past 12 years was under Eric Black and we played counter-attacking football at pace with very quick players.

    England v Belgium

A tight hard to break down defence is an excellent place to start building a team from.

    England v Belgium

I think maybe 1 or 2 on here are giving Belgium a bit of a disservice. They were saying in the commentary last night that Belgium have lost just 1 in 16 games and that was against the Germans. They were a strong team and yes they played the better football, but we won. We also beat Spain 1-0 in...

    England v Belgium

Shite? Maybe, but that is two wins in 2 games against decent opposition and we have looked quite solid. We are not going to pull up any trees but if we keep things solid we have a good chance of making the quarter finals and that ain't bad at all. Add Wilshere and Walker and Rooney and we'd...

Yeah, but maybe if they weren't playing it'd be 8-0.

    Key dates 2012/13

If only. Unless things change on the player front, Astute, and new recruits are brought in, I am firmly throwing my hat very much in the relegation dogfight camp.

price put on keoghs head - £1m

I really cannot see us bringing in anything like the amount of players we need to make us even competitive (if any at all). If Keogh and Cranie go we need at least 8 in.

price put on keoghs head - £1m

We have already turned down an £800,000 bid so it obviously doesn't need to be upped by much to reach the £1m target.
