Great ball by Bapaga, Walker 1v1 and hits the post. Great football so far, worth the entry fee - but the finishing needs to be better.

Great run from Baka, through on goal, 1v1... misses! Gotta do better but he looks motivated!

We’ve looked really good so far. All the players look fired up for it.

Did I miss something? I thought Bapaga was out on loan? Pretty happy with the team, big opportunity for the non-starters and youth players to make an impression!

Championship Club Membership - 1st Sept

Bought the membership for my little brother and I. Where's the option to select size for the special edition shirt?

We play on Friday night, which is why my initial thinking was play a rotated team. However, Robins did also point out that we’re behind the majority of Championship teams who carried on the season.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Robins selected our strongest team for this one. Equally, with a Friday night game, it’s the best opportunity to play our role players to get up them up to speed too.

Eccles is a good shout, would be good to see how he performs against decent L1 opposition in a competitive match. Side note: Could someone clarify if Drysdale is suspended for the game on Tuesday or did he serve his suspension v Bristol?

    Hamer

Hamer and Walsh are both good players. No doubt that if there’s an opportunity to sign him, we would make a move for Walsh - which is v unlikely. It does look like Hamer will be a more than suitable replacement for Walsh, so good job recruitment!

I’d play a weakened team v Gillingham. No disrespected intended, but we’ve got a few injuries/suspensions. Wilson Dabo Rose Ostigard Pask/Drysdale/Williams Mason Sheaf Shipley Hilßner Walker Baka This is still a decent team, but a lot of players need fitness there. MR will probably play a...

It’s not even a given that Walsh will start for Bristol City.

    Hamer

Hamer was very classy and most importantly, showed a lot of leadership yesterday, which is great in Kelly’s absence. Silly yellow yesterday, which put the spotlight on him in the ref’s eyes. But, he’s tenacious and he adds steel and creativity in our midfield. As for Sheaf, he’s going to be a...

    How many points for safety?

Today was definitely encouraging and it's a small consolation the Bristol fans acknowledge we were the better side. We lost today because we were naive. The first goal we concede was very poor from the off and we've let a man get free from a set piece. This season, I can accept losing from...

    Shipley

He knew he botched the chance COH set him up with. His goal was good so I’m not going to complain too much! Tyler Walker and Gooden linked up quite well in the end. Our midfield just ran out of legs and we lost our two most influential midfield players on the day.

    Shipley

We were good at defending set-pieces last season. If we continue to concede soft goals from set-pieces, we’ll review it down the line. Don’t get me wrong, I am surprised we didn’t pick up that they had a centre back, and probably one of their best headers at the far post.
