The thing is, in all liklihood, any new signings probably arent going to arrive until mid Jan anyway. Even if they arrive at midnight new years eve it will only be 2 or 3 league games before he's back.

If it can be managed I'd rather do that just through Christmas/New year and get a replacement in in Jan, give him the op and have him ready for next season
