Tough one. I'll go with wright as I imagine he will get back in team at some point but either way we're gonna score and both strikers will get good tallies

I think Haji gets back in on vibes alone but if there’s any justice it’ll be Ellis Ellis Simms Ellis Simms if he plays the rest of the season.

Haji Wright, but Simms is a streaky goalscorer. We seen back in 23/24 that once he gets going, he doesn’t stop.

I’m really happy for Simms because too many people wrote him off.

It’ll be interesting to see if the ‘games scored in’ brigade will criticise Simms for scoring consecutive braces, which was undoubtedly important in securing the two wins.

Im backing Wright. He's had his little dip in form and his injury. And I expect him to come back rejuvenated and ready to kick on
(Just in time for the busy Christmas schedule)
He has a point to make with the world cup next summer and will want to play himself into the USA starting line up.

We should really benefit from the competition between him and Simms who is right back in form and deserves to keep his place for next week.

And in January when the squad is knackered and needing fresh legs we will have BTA back with avengence.

Up the football league we go!!!!

I have put Simms, but expect it to be Wright( if the lazy git gets his finger out)because we must get some penalties soon.
And before you all start screaming that Wright doesn’t have to run around because he keeps scoring, you hypocrites never seem to say the same about Simms.

Funny because Simms was probably about 50-1 top scorer 3 weeks ago, he's now about 3rd fav
Any Cov player for top scorer will get a good price at the bookies. Simms and Thomas are particularly useful at set pieces, which unsurprisingly, we’re top of the charts.

I seen yesterday that we’re the first professional team to score 50 goals this season… There’s only one team who’s scored 30 goals this season (Hull) and our GD is +32!

Looking likely then the FA cup 3rd round weekend. At worst he will be back for leicester at home on 17th Janaury. So he will miss Birmingham away on 4th January.
Lampard said so in his post match interview, I think he might have said at least 6

Gutted for BTA because he’s had such a good season. If we can sign a striker in Jan, we probably should go for it now. Something is probably in the pipeline because why else would be pass up on signing Bamford?

The thing is, in all liklihood, any new signings probably arent going to arrive until mid Jan anyway.

Even if they arrive at midnight new years eve it will only be 2 or 3 league games before he's back.

True, but why leave the squad depth to chance? Right now we’re reliant on Simms right now, maybe Wright is back next week but may need easing back in.

As a whole, our bench looks v weak atm, Allen, KKH are the only midfielders/defenders that’ll make an impact.

Looking towards Jan, we do need to be active, 2-3 signings as a minimum.

I mean Haji has only really had a few good games all season. It's more than a 'little dip'.
He has some hard physical and mental work to put in before he earns a place in this team.

Despite being mocked here, I still think it's possible that Haji is sold in January (Leeds?) and a marquee striker signing arrives.

Not sure what you mean by leave squad depth to chance?
Are you referring to not signing Bamford?

Frank will sign a new attacking player in Jan who will score 25 goals from then until end of the season and will win the Ballon D'or within 3 years. Bookmark it.

Has to be within 2 years or we don't want him.

We have no time for slackers
