We’re in good form, but Allen, Sheaf, Eccles and Lati to cover the 2 CM positions is just not good enough nor deep enough. Bare in mind Lati needs to cover RB and CB too. MR not putting on Kelly (or McFadz to a lesser extent) on yesterday suggests he isn’t going to use him unless it’s desperate.

Robins is a bigger picture thinker than most of the fans. The second goal, which was arguably the most important goal, was created by Simms with some brilliant play. You don’t see the same people getting carried away with Godden scoring 2 goals calling for Allen to start because he got more...

    Strategy: FA cup

Unlike most years, we actually have options to rotate. We played a strong team v Wimbledon but unfortunately got complacent and lost the game.

Read MR’s post match comments. Simms wasn’t dragged at all. Ellis Simms performance… “I thought Ellis was a bit unlucky with some of his chances. He tried and he got into some good positions, and we were trying to free him up to get his shots away. “One of them the keepers made a save with...

That is a shame but if they can see the commercial benefits for the retro range we have brought out, that could change. Good to see the club barking up that tree though. There’s already 6 retro shirts in the range and another 2 would equal 8. I went to the Man U superstore last season with a...

Hamer’s playoff goals wins seals it for me!

    Total Dominance

I do think there was an instruction towards the end of the first half to ‘take a breather’ and control the ball. Likewise after we went 4-1 up. We turned it up again when Oxford pulled one back and Allen and Godden were brought on. Robins managed the game very well and to be honest, we...

    Matty Godden

Godden does work tirelessly and anyone who watches him play (properly) cannot deny that. It’s all about the deliveries, as good as COH and Palmer were today, there were times we pondered on the ball in the final third and let Oxford defend with 10 men behind the ball. Allen comes on and we’re...

    Matty Godden

Godden is straight up a better finisher than Gyokeres and probably even players like Wilson, Wright and so on… Ask yourself why he doesn’t score as many goals as those players. As for today, great goals the second in particular was a slick finish. However, we we playing a side 4-2 down and...

I seen a few of these dotted around and was on the lookout for some. The club has played a blinder tapping into the demand for retro jersies. Now, some more iconic kits from the Prem days would see the club take more of my money.

You’d think the club would do a cost-analysis. I agree with you. I loved both of his goals as they showed real class and they were the best chances we created today. On a side note, credit to Jamie Allen today because we looked a lot more direct in attack and helped end the game on a high. At...

That was a great game, but today we were verging on taking the piss at times. We were very assured!

Let’s get another goal early in the 2nd half, kill the game off and rotate. We definitely took a breather for the last 15-20m of that half. Overall, we look good and in control and showing the gulf in class between L1 and Championship.

We don’t know what COH’s demands are - if he wants silly money then you have to draw a line and not cave in. It’s too early tell whether or not this is a purple patch or not. I really rate COH, and his G/A output has improved after his injury. However, I don’t think his overall impact on games...

That had Gyokeres and Hamer in it. Who were 2 of the very best players in the league. That and Allen played mostly as an AM last season in the box - not in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

The 8 is very much Hamer and I wouldn’t let our recent good form cloud that. Of our midfield options, who would start for playoff calibre teams? Eccles, Allen and Sheaf are all solid but our not game changers in the final third. How much better would this system be if we had a player like Hamer...

    Transfer targets

Weren’t we pursing both Brekalo and Kitching towards the end of the window? If we’re recruiting for the long turn, we will need a CB in the summer to replace McFadz and Binks. Whilst it’s not our most immediate need this window, if good players become available and at the right price, we’d be...

    What could’ve been

Que Serra, Serra… The journey we’ve been on so far has had a lot of ups and downs! It’s no good looking back and it’s, buts and maybes when we’re in the position we’re in now! Robins leaving to Huddersfield and coming back for a second spell was ultimately a mutually beneficial thing. Clearly...
