That in itself is not an issue for me, if they risk money and we do well they are entitled to some reward, the problem is they are rubbish at running a football club.
No more or less likely to move, the club say they want to move, financially it makes no sense.
Income streams, as likely as when they had many years to make offers for buying them, do they want to buy them now? It would seem odd if they want to move.
CCFC would mean the City would be worse...
i don't think the council have written £1m off, but if they have I'm sure someone can find a link.
They have said they are giving tickets away for 3 games, so I guess they think that is sustainable. Even very big successful companies give discounts and offers, just check out Nicks new website...
From a Cov economy point of view it makes no difference whether the tickets are given away, the people will come and spend money.
Have the Council written £1m off? What was that deal?
If Wasps go pop then the lease will go back to the Council and can be sold again.
I'm sure there plenty I what you say Stu, but I think sometimes we're led to believe football is too complicated for mere fans to understand. At this level they should all be capable of passing to a player in the same colour shirt, and when a player hasn't got the ball he should know that he...
They could get around the tricky partnership conundrum by practicing together on non match days. Maybe add in some shooting and passing practice as well, and if that all starts to work well, maybe invite the keepers to join in.
If the stories are true that ACL are successful then it doesn't back up the argument that it had to go to someone, certainly less reason for the Council to sell their share, it's not as if they sold it at a premium.
Still seems like a very cheap sale price to me, especially if they are due stadium naming money in the next year or two. Now the deal is done I don't see why they can't reveal what conditions there are around future development of the site etc, and who is paying for it.
We're playing in Cov in a few hours, and then for a few more years at least. Hopefully Otium will learn how to negotiate with the owners of ACL during that time, and we'll have a long and glorious future (now I'm sounding like RFC - HELP).
If the offer is from Otium rather than CCFC Ltd, which seems to be what Higgs are saying in their statement, surely it's not up to the liquidator to give permission.
Hope we can sell plenty of tickets to pay the loan.
Mortgage value £40,000,000

The Higgs statement, if I'm reading it correctly, says that Otium sent the bid in rather than CCFC Ltd. If Higgs only invited CCFC Ltd to bid as holder of the right to bid, then surely Otium knew this would fail, so why bother.
