Who would you replace with Murphy in our midfield? I actually think Thomas is better and he struggles to get in our team currently (in fairness, as you say, partly due to injury).

I would personally counter Platt with Hateley (or maybe Stuart Pearce). Lennon was shit. Worse player than Keane or Bellamy hands down.

Mark Hateley, Jay Bothroyd, Danny Sturridge, Stuart Pearce, Danny Thomas, Chris Kirkland off the top of my head have all played for England having come through our youth ranks / joined as youngsters.

So are we picking those that came through the youth system or those that came through other youth systems but signed young? Because that opens up a lot more names.
