Sky Blues Talk Members get 15% Off when eating at The Establishment - Coventry.

Looks nice. Will give it a try at some point when I'm back in Coventry.

    Coventry United FC

Just been looking on non league matters forum. Didn't realise this was a takeover of Coventry Spartans FC rather than a new club.

    A Warning from Wales

Shocking isn't it. Although SISU haven't gone to quite the same extremes they do exhibit a lot of the same single mindedness and disregard for the fans feelings. Lets hope we don't end up in a similar situation.

    A Warning from Wales

http://supportersnotcustomers.com/2013/05/24/the-welsh-wimbledon-barry-town-unites/? The story of Barry Town. Although their ex-owner seems to be a whole new level of crazy, some of the similarities to our situation are striking.

I'm not sure Byng is claiming to be the person financing this or have I missed something?

    Michael byng midlands today interview

There probably are people within the clubs structure who can be kept on. To be honest I didn't have a problem with Fisher until recently, but he needs to go regardless. Too tainted by the current regime.

If something sounds to good to be true....

At the moment I can't see anyone other than SISU having control of the club. Hope I'm wrong.

If the potential new owners browsed this forum tonight.....

Agree. Some of what was said earlier was disgusting and has no place in society let alone this forum.

    second bid for city

What was the date the administrator was making his decision?

    Coventry United FC

I agree. In fact if SISU stay in charge and move us to Walsall I think a fan owned breakaway is the way to go a la FC United of Manchester. I will be more than happy to be involved in that (and have put some thought into it - FC United started with £100,000. Not that much if you think about it)...

    Coventry United FC

Think I am wrong on this point thinking about it. Although FC United started at equivalent level of Mid Comb premier think it was the lowest possible league for them based on their location.

    Coventry United FC

Seems so. Website is not up and running yet but managed to find the URL:- www.coventryunited.co.uk

    Coventry United FC

Not a criticism by the way. Just wondered the reasoning. I guess you were just told that is where you have to start by the FA. By the way, please stick at this. Non league football is great regardless how many end up coming to watch you.

    Coventry United FC

FC United started higher up. Wonder if that was due to expected attendances.
  16. mark82

    Coventry United FC

Did you have a choice of starting higher or was that where you were placed? What are your realistic ambitions for the club?
  17. mark82

    Coventry United FC

Different situation. They will be doing it to meet ground grading regulations as they are moving up the leagues.

    Coventry United FC

Everyone hopes for that. If CCFC are in Coventry I would go there. Other teams if I was back and CCFC were away.
  19. mark82

    Coventry United FC

You can do. FC United, AFC Wimbledon, AFC Liverpool, Guernsey FC, etc were all started at that level.

    Coventry United FC

If they genuinely have funds and ambition I'm fairly sure they will be placed in Mid Comb Premier.
