    New Stadium confirmed

Why has this come out the day before the JR? Have Sisu got word that they've failed again? Not surprising if true, they only know how to fail.

    New Stadium confirmed

I would support a new ground in Coventry only when I am satisfied that it makes more financial sense for the club (not Sisu) to build a new ground over going back to the Ricoh. I have yet to be convinced. Under no circumstances will I support it outside the city. No one inch over the boundary...

Wasn't it confirmed in July? http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/stadium-site-terms-agreed-945273.aspx

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

The whole reason we are in this poxy division is because that orange tosser sold all our players without replacing them. We have to meet the incoming FFP rules sisu said. Yet Grendel says FFP rules don't count. So what did we get ourselves relegated for?

So what was the point in destroying the clubs Championship status for a rule that won't be enforced?

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

Your right that the Football League has no real legal power. However if we end up in a situation where we beat other clubs to staying up/making play offs do you really think the chairmen of other clubs are just going to sit back and take it? No they will be threatening the league with legal...

I would love to be in the situation Pompey are right now. At least they have a future.

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

Statistically this is the worst team since 1963.

    It's not 2 bad performances ... it's actually 5 !

I can't see promotion this season without a complete overhaul of the defence, which won't happen. Looking at it, we only need another 30 points to stay up so we will be mid table again. Next season however is shaping up to be a disaster.

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

I'm not certain, but to be honest it doesn't really matter. £11.5k per week for all senior players is not sustainable to stay in league 1. It would be difficult to stay in league 2 with those sort of figures.

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

What we looking at then figure wise? Club turnover can't be anymore than £1m this season. So only £600k for players wages, over the course of a season that works out at about £500 per week per player (based on a squad of 22)! I know youth players don't count, so in reality it will be nearer...

    WCCC New name

I would question as to whether the majority are Birmingham residents. Train back over here is always busy after a Warwickshire game.

As strong as we are united, as weak as we are divided

We are united though. Nearly 90% of last seasons attendees aren't attending this year. If it was the opposite way round (90% were attending) you would say the fanbase were still united behind the club.

Updated CCFC lowest ever league attendences

Or perhaps its because the 3rd lowest ever league attendance has just been announced, despite a healthy away following? There's a programme on BBC2 right now about the cold war, yet even on that there's less paranoia than on here.

    WCCC New name

Yep. Some pointless 1970's bureaucracy cannot erase 1000 years of history. Coventry will always be in Warwickshire as far as I'm concerned.

    WCCC New name

Using the same logic Lancashire don't play in Lancashire, Middlesex don't play Middlesex, and Surrey don't play in Surrey. It is worth remembering that Edgbaston is actually just one of the grounds that Warwickshire play at. The whole idea of County Cricket is that they play games all over the...

    Birmingham Bears

Its supposed to represent the ancient county of Warwickshire, not some smokey industrial area that only become a city in 1889. WCCC represent the current boundaries of Coventry & Warwickshire, Solihull and only some of Birmingham. Everyone forgets that not all of Birmingham was in Warwickshire...
