Here we go again on the radio phone in

'We played really well in the first half today.' 'Were you there today Ricky?' 'No. I listened to the game on the radio.':(

    Swindon vs Coventry Matchday Thread

Yes, cos the record books and table says nothing about us winning 2-0. It's a point away against one of the best teams in the division and it means we remain unbeaten. I'm happy. Never want to throw a lead away, but under the last few managers we would have lost that today.

A draw keeps the unbeaten run going. We would have taken a draw before the game wouldn't we? Have to be happy with a point all things considering.

We appear to be a better team without him. Perhaps Robins has told him there is no future for him here as a player at the the club, but maybe he would like to help with the coaching.

    Jimmy Saville

Shame they can't tap into Saville's own fortune. Bet he was worth a bob or two.

    England v San Marino

We tried to play through the centre of their defence and for the most part it didn't work and we just got outnumbered. Too many balls out wide to give us width were merely passed back inside again to try and go straight through the middle.

    England v San Marino

You sure? They have only had double figures scored against them twice in the last 50 games. Loads of 4's 5's and 6's though. We should never expect to score 10 against anyone. Should have been at least 8 tonight though with the good chances we missed.

Bell ... give him a break.

First time I have ever seen the words 'quick' and 'Bell' in the same sentence! ;)

Stringing too many passes together if anything.

Bell ... give him a break.

Well 87 appearances and the number of good ones that you could count up without the need of more than two hands says an awful lot. Manager after manager keeps telling us what ability he's got yet we hardly ever see it. One good performance every 5 to 6 games at most.

He'll have been here for 4 years in Jan. Unlucky for 4 years? :(

Not just flat, but very flat.

Should have bet on them having a shot. No way on God's earth are they going to score a goal.

Bell ... give him a break.

Who's criticising him for being injured? :thinking about: No-one from what I can see. People are just saying anyone who suffers so many injuries is a liability to the club, as was Tim Sherwood, as was David McFookedmekneeup. The guy is a liability to the club because he is injured. No-one is...

Not ignoring the fact that we nearly always have no problem whatsoever in the qualifiers though and win these matches quite easily, but struggle at tournaments.

What, and then ease off in the second half?

    England v San Marino

Odds should be 33,000/1 shouldn't they? 33/1 doesn't seem very generous for a team who hasn't scored an away goal in nearly 13 years.

4-1? Are you mental? :( San Marino haven't scored an away goal since 2001.

Bell ... give him a break.

He is a liability, whichever way you look at it. Even if you think he is an excellent footballer, you'd still have to say he is a liability because he is injured so often and usually for long periods of time. He will have been here 4 years in January. He has played 87 games. He doesn't even...

Bell ... give him a break.

He has a fresh start under Robins, just like he did under Thorn and Boothroyd. Until he proves otherwise fans will of course assume more of the same because that is all they have witnessed of him in nearly 4 years at the club.
