Even if Sisu win the case it doesn't mean the club are coming back. The only thing that's ending is our chances of coming back.

By suggesting that a private Ltd company is a quango you have just shown you don't really know what your talking about.

    AFC Coventry

If a new ground is outside of Coventry then it is the club that has broke away, not us. Like I said, Coventry needs a professional football club. If sisu are determined to take our existing club away, then we need to start our own.

So can I just clarify, even if you knew that in reality the council are not guilty of breaching state aid rules, you would still like them to be found guilty? Bearing in mind that such a verdict could destroy innocent peoples careers at the Council House, cost the Coventry taxpayer potentially...

Well if the court finds in favour of Sisu, its only against the Council. ACL would not have been found of any wrongdoing, I imagine they would just be told to give the money back. Providing they can find a bank willing to lend to them it wouldn't benefit sisu in the slightest.

There is no law against that though in its broadest sense. Basically whats happened is the councils actions improved the profitability of ACL, and therefore increased the value of ACL. Perfectly legal as far as I'm aware. Just hard luck on Sisu that the value of ACL went up and they didn't want...

That can be said for the whole case. That CCC were just securing the asset from YB, allowing Sisu to buy ACL at a later date. I've seen nothing that proves the council loan prevented Sisu from buying ACL. Depending on its context, the comment about "Hell freezing over before selling the Ricoh...

Is this bit here not irrelevant? Mr Thompson alleged the council was “riding two horses” by negotiating with Sisu while “behind their backs” the council was seeking a deal with the bank to buy out the mortgage itself. Unless some sort of exclusivity agreement had been signed then I don't...

No that proves it does work. The whole point is to prevent clubs getting into debt. The Man City sponsorship is good for the club. The owners have footed the bill.
