    50+1 Fan Control of club

Since when did the football league know what was right. I can see it now... "No fan owned club has ever had success apart from Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Real Madrid..... Oh wait"

    Coventry United

If things can be done the right way there is no reason they couldn't be used as a platform. Would have to be done on our terms though. Fan ownership. We choose name, club crest, kit, etc. it makes sense to use the existing work they have done. If I'm honest I can't see them agreeing to it...

    Coventry United

I asked them about it a few weeks back and I don't think they want to offer fans shares yet. Would need to know what percentage they were willing to offer to fans and at what price before agreeing anything IMO. For me "memberships" need to be priced similar to FC United - £12 a year to keep it...

    A name change?

If this happened it would be the end of the line for me. At least we would all be able to unite behind starting again and we would maybe be able to procure the Coventry City name.

    Coventry United

You mean minimal investment into Coventry United? Nothing been invested in 1883 as yet as that would be fan owned. I agree that efforts should be combined between 1883 and United. Maybe the guys involved in setting up united can retain a minority private stake (maybe 25%) for putting the effort...

    Coventry United

AFC Wimbledon climbed the leagues without a wealthy backer. Would prefera well run fan owned club to one loaned millions by a wealthy backer.

Leamington could be top half, who knows. Batchelor out for the season though which is a big loss.

POLL Would you go to CCFC games in 3 years time if we had a new stadium located just

I've not answered the poll as depends how far out the boundaries for me. Still think building another new stadium would kill the club though. Needs to be at least 25k capacity in my eyes too. No point building a 15k stadium.

External polls are better. I can vote using my mobile then!!!

    Coventry United

Yep. Can't see Haskell being interested. Fan owned with minority investment is the way forward. I would go and watch any local non league team because I have an interest. Understand some folks just aren't as interested.

    Coventry United

Yep, that's for next season though if CCFC don't come back.

No no no no no no no. We can't just steal someone else's team.

Same here this year. Will split time when I'm in Cov between Leamington, Sphinx and giving United a try.

POLL: Would you support a new club in Coventry?

Agree. The question needed different phrasing like "if a new club was started for next season and CCFC were not returning to Coventry would you start a newly created club". The question is not 100% clear on the scenario.

    Start a New Club

The Football League? ;) On a serious note I personally think if you start you need to commit, however no reason some couldn't split loyalties (like a lot of FC United fans do) if City came back. It's a personal choice and every individual would have different feelings.
