Not really. Chris Martin wrote it specifically for Embrace. It was sort of a love song to them as Embrace was a big influence on Coldplay. Chris Martin quoted as saying if they’d been no Embrace there would never have been Coldplay.

Exactly this. In 2020 there was only 32000 nett migration into the UK so a correction was always coming.

I think it’s minimal at best. The standards are so high to be even be considered. The issue isn’t their education/mentality/natural ability. The issue is that there just isn’t enough places in medical school.

There’s also the issue of social care and the cuts made to that under austerity and the effect that has on the NHS. 1 in 7 NHS beds are being blocked by patients who can’t go home because they need social care in the community to be able to do so. The NHS had to take up a lot of slack from cuts...

Think it’s more a case of there not being enough places available to train everyone capable and wanting of being a doctor. Can’t recall the exact figures but it’s pitiful, many are then taking a year out trying again and still not getting in at the second try, the chances of getting a placement...
