Meeting wrapping up and I didn’t win the raffle (again!). Calls in the room for Coventry City to grant Michael Doyle a testimonial as he has spent 10 years (over 2 spells) at the club! Well received and we are writing to the club to see what they think

Doyle - Stand out game was away at Man Utd in the Cup when we took 11,000

Doyle - best ground I’ve ever played at - Highfield Road was unbelievable - loved playing there! Nothing else touches it.

Doyle - Andy Reid Notts Forest best player he has played against. Chaplin - Lewis Cook Bournemouth - couldn’t get anywhere near him!

Chaplin - Favourite player - Henry at Arsenal. Doyle - Favourite player - John Barnes

Doyle - Goal at home to Wycombe last season - yes I meant it!

Chaplin - was never going anywhere other than Coventry from the summer onwards - spoke to Doyle & McNulty and made his mind up ages ago.

Doyle - best night of my career was the away leg at Notts County!

Doyle - Asking fans to stick with them - we have great young players coming through. It’s great to be a part of the club right now from a players point of view.

Loves Mark Robins - very calm and enjoyable playing for him.

Doyle - I never wanted to leave Coventry first time round. I want to stay and coach and maybe even get involved in the management in the future at Coventry.

Agree he was really good. He moved to the BBC WM team to do Aston Villa games instead. I heard him when I was trying to tune in to CWR and got to say he was just as good. Sounded like a Villa fan though - very professional. No hesitation or stuttering or forgetting the players names or mixing...

I enjoyed that. Looking good for the future that's for sure!

A few people have asked if they can bring a guest with them on Weds. You can bring guests however this is a members only club event so each guest will need to join the supporters club on the night. £10 will get you a badge that allows you in to all subsequent meetings for free.
