    Yeovil Match Thread

4 games vs Crewe this season. Lost 2, 4 goals against us, bugger all in reply. I wonder what the odds are for them to do a clean-sweep against us.

    Crewe fan scared to death...

Isn't it 2 clean sheets in the last 19 games for us? Crewe are gonna score at least once.

Robins: "It was a real bad day at the office"

http://www.ccfc.co.uk/news/article/robins-on-crewe-defeat-640781.aspx "We have to remember it is only half-time and it isn't over. I know it is a big ask now and I imagine there is a full-house there which will make it more difficult." "I think we created plenty of chances and we were good...

Nail. Head. Fans from previous years (not marinated in the #IWillBeThere hype or even following the City too closely this or many previous seasons) will see the scoreline in the paper or on SSN and think "typical Cov, they've fooked it up again." I mean, City 0 vs 3 Crewe - seriously...

    Big Home Crowd Syndrome

I agree, but in the grand scheme of luring fans back, I don't think tonight's game will do much good in the long run. We've got to start taking opportunities like this, how long until the next 25,000 crowd at the Arena?

West Brom in the Cup? 25,000+? Lost 5-0. OK, I admit, we had the fitness coach in charge for that one. :p

    Big Home Crowd Syndrome

But we didn't. That's what the stay-ways and younglings will remember, not that their keeper played a blinder and we were a shade unlucky in front of goal. I took a friend to a game a few seasons back when City did some-kind of ticket offer. Decent crowd vs Preston, we got whacked 4-0. That...

Big crowd at the Arena? We lose. Why? It keeps happening, again and again. Yet another wasted opportunity to encourage the missing fans and Sky Blue Army: The Next Generation to come back to the Arena.

    So, so unjust

Hopefully Crewe will do a #IWillBeThere video and that will curse them too. The lack of clean sheets is getting to be a joke. It wouldn't be so bad if we were more clinical up front. Still, an early goal and who knows? Trouble is Crewe can sit back and hit us on the break. Good thing away...

    Lesson learned

All frecking week, its been: "Attendence Attendence Attendence Attendence Attendence Attendence #IWillBeThere etc" Its almost as if some people thought "if we get over 30,000 in tonight, we've won the right to play at Wembley!" Almost as if Crewe merely had to show up to be beaten. I'd rather...

The one who have beaten us twice this season? 4 goals past us, no reply.

    Clinical

City: 25 shots, 13 on target, 15 corners, 0 goals. Crewe: 7 shots, 4 on target, 3 corners, 3 goals. Wasteful? Yep. But we hit the post and their keeper was MoTM for them.

But...but.....he made a great save vs Derby! :p :( Not sure he's totally to blame. We got sucker-punched by a very decent Crewe team. I was worried before the game that people were focusing wayyyyy too much on the attendance and not enough on the opposition.

They're meeting almost every challenge laid before them

Oh yeah, there's definitely room for improvement. We need to be more ruthless and finish teams off when we have them on the ropes. I thought we'd blown it again tonight but good old Leon had other ideas. :)

FFS Sky Sports news show the damn goals!!

Clarke didn't. :p An ex-striker as a Manager who has brought in strikers who can actually score goals. Coincidence? I think not. :)

They're meeting almost every challenge laid before them

Remember the talk about tough trips to Stevenage and MK Dons? 6 points. Tranmere was a tough one at home. 3 points. Sheff Utd away? Tough game. 3 points. Now, if we could keep a few more clean sheets..... :p .....but apart from that, MR has them transformed from earlier this season. At this...
