When Wasps moved to Wycombe did they have any plans to move back to London?
As for principle, its obvious your going to care about something more when it affects you. For me, do I think Wasps are wrong to leave London? Yes. Do I care? Not really.
But surely if your against something on principal it doesn't matter if its temporary or permanent? After all there was no evidence to suggest Ccfc would ever come back.
Or, as I believe, doesn't this show that the Wasps/Northampton situations are completely different and its wrong to try and...
For those that were boycotting it wouldn't have made a difference.
Those going to Sixfields, the principle of it wouldn't have changed either. Only the distance, so the reasons for them to be against it would be all about convenience.
That's my view as well.
London Wasps were wrong to move from London to Wycombe.
How does a London team moving around outside of London make any difference to that?
The Coventry economy is doing relatively well, so why are people surprised that hotels are need for business people?
Coventry people love slagging off their home without looking at the facts first.
I suppose something like this is difficult to quantify. Off the pitch we are currently quite easily the worst club to support in the league, and have been for around 15 years now. However that hasn't always been the case, so you would struggle on that basis to say worst club in history (however...
Wasps aren't going anywhere so whether people go or not wont make a difference.
I wouldn't class myself as a rugby fan, but the only club team I have ever gone and actively supported is CRFC and that will never change. Wasps was just a day out.
They didn't sell it until after the club returned though so that isn't a valid reason as to why we played in Northampton.
Also, overestimating ACL's income during the Northampton year had nothing to do with us playing there either so again that isn't a valid reason is it?
Ok then, that's your view.
I only care about what's good for my city and my sports clubs. Going to the Wasps game had no adverse affect on CCFC, CRFC, or CBIHC, and had a positive affect for my city. So there is no reason not to go is there?
I get the things about Wasps limiting Cov's potential, but I do think the interest in Rugby is helping them, and much of that interest has been generated by wasps. If Cov do it right they can do well out of it.
Them being locked out of the BPA and facing liquidation now seems a lifetime ago...
Are you telling me as fact that CCFC couldn't have rented out the arena on matchdays? It is usually empty on matchdays anyway as there is no parking available for any other events to take place. They could have easily done a deal with ACL.
Your attitude to it is exactly the point I am making...
