SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

I'm obviously not saying you will start supporting a shop! But if you never go to a football match you won't get into it properly. You would end up as an armchair Man Utd fan or something. Yes there are lots of CCFC fans who don't go to games much now. But how many are there that didn't go to...

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

No they can't I agree. If you want your kids to be city fans then you have to take them to a few games a season. Suppose it depends if you want your kids to have go through everything we all have.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Well done for the constructive criticism there smelly head. The whole point is there is more to do in the world than go to CCFC of Wasps. If you had parents that brought their kids up to do something other than sport on a Saturday afternoon then the outcome would still be the same for CCFC.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Exactly, if they match what Wasps are offering then Wasps are no threat.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

But didn't it always depend on the parents? I don't see how people taking their kids to see Wasps is any worse for CCFC than taking your kids shopping on a Saturday afternoon.

Which just goes to show that Wasps being here is no barrier to getting new fans.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Regardless of Wasps being here or not, CCFC has no right to assume any kids are going to support them in the future. They need to earn that support, not just expect it. Another example of CCFC fans being taken for granted. So the question here is what are CCFC going to do to combat the lure of...

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

The majority don't care. As city fans we have enough to worry about regarding our own club. With everything that is wrong with CCFC, I don't understand the obsessive nature of some of our fans over a rugby club that means nothing to them.

    Where have I defended it?

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

See I think its hypocritical to pretend to care about what another club is doing as much as your own one. I personally couldn't give a shit about what Wasps have done. I only care about CCFC, and I suspect you do as well. I don't understand the crocodile tears from city fans over Wasps.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

The point is you didn't care before 2014 because it had no impact on you or the team you support. City fans going to Wasps games has no impact on our Sky Blues, so there is no conflict of views. Your claiming that franchising is wrong and evil and shouldn't be supported, but didn't care until...

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Can I just ask, at what point did you become critical of Wasps for moving out of their home town? 2007 or 2014?

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Your doing it again aren't you? Criticising individuals for things someone else said. How about I claim you thought Sixfields was great because RFC posted on here it that he liked it? When did any senior members of the trust criticise anyone for going to Sixfields?
  14. bigfatronssba

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

So did any of those members of the trust that you are now criticising, argue that going to Sixfields meant endorsing the move?
  15. bigfatronssba

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

Can you find a single statement from the SBT or its senior members where they say franchising in sport/rugby is good?

    JLR purchase

I wouldn't say the council deserve any credit for this, but likewise they wouldn't deserve any criticism if JLR left. People on here lately effectively having a go at the council for the 70's collapse of British Leyland were laughable.

    Council Less Reid JLR CCFC

Browns Lane was a 60 year old plant, part of a failing automotive group. The new JLR plants will be the most modern in the country, and part of a company that is growing rapidly.

    JLR purchase

In fairness I imagine it is greenbelt land, so it would be a no no for a football stadium anyway imo.

    JLR purchase

Two more factories in the pipeline, be interesting to see where they are. Two less sites for a football ground.

SCG Minutes from 5th March meeting

The current official position of RBC is that no discussions have taken place. Is there any evidence to suggest that isn't the case?
