No idea. He'd be top dog, guaranteed game time, playing in Europe, etc etc but that's all guess work.

I'm just trying to get across the point that Vik doesn't have to agree to go anywhere else so value is a more complex issue than many are imagining here. It wouldn't matter what your West Hams or whoever might hypothetically agree to pay. He might agree to talk terms with another party, he might...

Why would exciting, young and ambitious players chose to come to Coventry if we get a reputation (fairly or not) for making it difficult for them to move on? If this is our future model then having this play out in public with Vik will be damaging and has to be settled quickly for everybody. It...

    Josh Reid back to Scotland?

It's u-21 now (since last season) and that's part of the difficulty, I think. There's a great gulf between most u-21 players and full-pro Championship. For every Calum Doyle there must be 10 or more others who develop more slowly or just reach their limits earlier.

If Vik has his mind set on Sporting then it's going to be difficult to change it. He doesn't have to agree to move anywhere as he's under contract. It's all well and good saying hold out for more money but it's a two way dialogue.

    How many signings?

Godden is on a goal every three games in the Championship and not all of those were starts by any means in a team set up around Vik - players with those numbers are not ten a penny.

    Hamer

    Yes but that's pure speculation.
  8. S

    Hamer

It won't fall on 100k over a year, 300 k over the contract. Leeds (just for exampe) might offer him say 500k or 600 k per year more and a fair chance of promotion in the automatic spots if they play it right. Hamer will also be judging how he feels the club is going and if we're likely to be...

    How many signings?

Dabo might have been thinking of himself pre-crocked of course.

    Hamer

Another 100k a year. I've no idea whether they're prepared to do that or not.
  11. S

    Hamer

Leeds will pull close to 38k week in and week out and that's before the cheating parachute money. Leicester will be a big draw too and there's the other recently relagated sides. Sunderland are a big club. We can't out-compete these clubs in the casino and we need a full squad of players. This...

How optimistic are you feeling about next season?

It may well be low threshold again. With the added strength of the division the points could well also be shared more evenly among the top half. We need the depth of squad to be competitive in the top half not only the headline players. I'd like to see us register a full squad of senior players...

How optimistic are you feeling about next season?

We've been spoilt by Vik's fitness. The first year in the Championship we had only one fit striker for extended chunks

How optimistic are you feeling about next season?

I think a lot depends how well manage replace Tyler and Wags (as well as Vik). I think this is largely being forgotten amid all the turmoil but it will take up a big part of the available resources. I don't know who is bing targetted but would they come and for the wages that we want to pay?

I don't know about Dabo but Rose turned down a new contract. The big interview in the CT was quite illuminating

Guardian Article optimistic about our 23/24 season

Reminds me of the 'good old days' when the Guardian didn't report on games outside London, especially midweek. The Top6 bias was incredible too being almost completely unfamiliar with everyone else...

If Vik was in Portugal last weekend he was certainly given permission to speak to Sporting and to miss the Sweden game.

    Hamer

We'll need that money for Waghorn's replacement assuming we want a proven goalscorer! Same for Tyler. There's no magic money pot I'm sorry to say but that is what King and Robins have been telling us for months. I hope they can find a way to keep Hamer but it won't all be about money for him.
