Yes. The pre-season is really important for team building and working on systems of play. They have very little time for these things during the busy season more reinforcing the summer's work.
He's not been hurt again since he came back as far as I know despite plaing in every game, I think. I don't think he's injury prone, he's had a good bit of misfortune for sure. People talk shit and it becomes accepted as fact!
All fits with what Robins was saying about being on a limited budget, of the same order of magnitude as last season's. It can't come as a surprise to anyone
I wouldn't argue with that but he has to want to go to another bidder, be prepared to be rotated, sit out when he's a bit off the boil etc. I could quite understand it if that's not what he wants.
I think it would be very damaging for both parties to end up in that situation. As far as I can tell Vik holds most of the cards - the club needs the money from the sale to rebuild the squad.
I don't disagree at all but they're not Muppets either. Just trying to think this through from a position of knowing nothing, like everyone else, but I have been a negotiator in another life...
Sporting would want their EU20m back from a big sale and some healthy profit too. That doesn't leave too much scope to share a big percentage of the sell on fee, the more they agree to the greater the risk for them.
