This thread has gone to shit. Right, Gus...

Yes. The pre-season is really important for team building and working on systems of play. They have very little time for these things during the busy season more reinforcing the summer's work.

Acute appendicitis isn't an injury in my book. There's been no recurrence of his foot problem either as far as I know.

Might be 10 k for all we know...

He's not been hurt again since he came back as far as I know despite plaing in every game, I think. I don't think he's injury prone, he's had a good bit of misfortune for sure. People talk shit and it becomes accepted as fact!

Let's hope that's all behind him now

If Gus has any sense (and he appears to have) then he'll be leaving things up to his agent to deal with

Has been like that for a fortnight. Somebody jumped the gun

Extremely disappointing certainly. It's the wages spread across 25 players for 2 or 3 years that's the issue...

Leeds would need the internals to be settled first.

All fits with what Robins was saying about being on a limited budget, of the same order of magnitude as last season's. It can't come as a surprise to anyone

Paper talk. Just a regurg from what's already out there

He had time away from the Sweden squad, it's impossible to believe that he didn't have permission.

I wouldn't argue with that but he has to want to go to another bidder, be prepared to be rotated, sit out when he's a bit off the boil etc. I could quite understand it if that's not what he wants.

I think it would be very damaging for both parties to end up in that situation. As far as I can tell Vik holds most of the cards - the club needs the money from the sale to rebuild the squad.

I don't disagree at all but they're not Muppets either. Just trying to think this through from a position of knowing nothing, like everyone else, but I have been a negotiator in another life...

It would! If he has only a half decent time there they'd struggle to get their money back though.

Sporting would want their EU20m back from a big sale and some healthy profit too. That doesn't leave too much scope to share a big percentage of the sell on fee, the more they agree to the greater the risk for them.
