The days when it snowed on match day.

It wasn't that unusual in the 70s through the 90s for all games to be off. You'd often seen the snow piled up behind the touch lines for a few weeks in a cold winter. Snow before Christmas seems very rare now but it was pretty common back then.

    Paddy Bamford

Just a couple of weeks after in mid-Feb, he'd been a free agent since the November. I know he was a favourite but once bitten twice shy might apply for King (the great goal aside he didn't contribute very much and he was probably paid very good money.) There's certainly a cut off for all players...

The signing has to be agreed by the EFL outside of the window. That's the written rule as such but it depends on what conditions they place on that for free agents. It's that detail that I can't find easily and it possibly changes from season to season.

as I say I'm not sure but I think so. Maybe someone else knows more Can't sign at all if you've already registered the full 25 players, but we're not in that position.

I'm not sure of the precise rule but I understood that free agents can sign at any time but can't play until the next window opens. There's a couple of exceptions, if the player is registered prior to signing or there's a short grace period after the window but I think it's only a couple of...

Still got Matty Godden to come back in. He's had knee surgery so he might take time once he's fit again

It's pretty much a certainty now. Even a point a game should it

For sure! I don't think he was given the assist in the end.

    Penalties

There've not been a great deal of penalties in the Championship this season. A lot less than the PL in terms of games played

The defender got to it anyway, it doesn't look like simmo even managed to get off the ground, probably being held down

He'll always have two or sometimes even three on him. It does make space for others, often at the edge of the box, which we've done well from.

I don't think he likes the "route one" approach that we've adopted recently either. Some players don't suit it, Cyrille was another I can think of.

    What would happen without Grimes?

We'd tried to sign him over the summer beforehand...

You never know with players. It could be his kid keeping up all night, might have a knock, might be contract negotiations etc etc etc. We never know! Just saying...

    What would happen without Grimes?

I'm not saying you can't play like that, it's likely what we'd do but it's limited, petty predictable and not the free flowing football we've seen at times this season.

    What would happen without Grimes?

We'd have to swap to 5 at the back and play more like the Robins teams probably with one up top away two at home. That's a top half style of play but were short on players to make that kind of switch. Back to rarely winning away and taking risks with a light mf at home, not for me!

    Sakamoto

We're lucky to have him at his peak. We can't actually say that about too many of our players.

    Sam McCallum

He's a threat in the box too!

A year I think so to the season after this one. We don't want anyone sniffing around though.
