What are the chances of turning up on the Saturday and paying on the gate, bypassing the membership rules? Will they still allow tickets to be bought on the day of the game?

    DKE

Certainly worth another go in midfield.

    Sour Grapes

They famously won the league cup in the late sixties beating Arsenal in the final and knocking us out on the way. They had a really good winger, Don Rogers, who starred in that team and who I think they named a stand after. Didn’t Ernie Hunt come from Swindon? I thought we were hanging on in...

    Jimmy Armfield

I am sure I saw him play once. Blackpool had one season in the old first division in the early seventies. I went to watch City play at Bloomfield Road. We produced a dismal performance and lost 1-0. I can’t really remember anything notable about Jimmy’s performance but Blackpool had a winger...

    Chances of Making The Playoffs

Imagine if it is still like this on the last day of the season. A blanket finish with ten plus teams in contention. Our last game is Morecambe which is definitely winnable, but would be a very tense day. Should ensure a resonable crowd though!

He’s crap too when we lose.

Match Thread Coventry City - Swindon Town Match Thread - Saturday 20th Jan

Didn’t you say you thought he would never play for Coventry again after last week?

Match Thread Coventry City - Swindon Town Match Thread - Saturday 20th Jan

Just read this again and realised it was about Doyle and not Biamou, apologies! However I still disagree, I would think Doyle is showing this season, that at this level he is a good footballer.

Totally disagree. He has shown himself to be a good footballer. All that has been missing from his game is the goals.

Which goal made you go the most mental?

That was a dream of a goal!

    4,700....

I think the FA Cup has been devalued enough. No replays would be another nail in the coffin of the competition.

    The Great What If?

As I remember it, Cyrille wanted to stay and finish his career here but Butcher had made his mind up months before the end of the season, Robert Rosario was to be his centre forward and that there was no place for Regis. I don’t think Villa came in for Regis until after the season had finished...

    Big Cyrille

A really sad day for me. Cyrille one of my all time Sky Blue heroes. It is hard to believe that things were as bad as they were in the 70s. I went to the Hawthorns to see City play a Friday night match against Albion. The abuse that Cyrille and the other black West Brom players took that night...

So frustrating being a Cov fan

It would be interesting if you ever left your phone or IPad lying around open on one of your insights into marital life with your wife! What would she say and would she confiscate your IPad? If you ever disappeared off of here I think we may know why!

    Biamou

I think he is quite a clever player when you play it to his feet and give him options.

Match Thread Exeter City - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 13th Jan

I disagree. The only game I haven’t seen O’Brien make a mistake in was the Walsall cup tie. Even against Notts County he flapped at a couple of crosses and his kicking was erratic. I think Burge is the better keeper although I accept there is still a mistake in him. He certainly didn’t do...

    Biamou

I wouldn’t criticise Beavon too much as I don’t think we play to his strengths, however his contribution to games is much less than Biamou’s. He played well yesterday and gave their defence a torrid time. I felt we were much less effective when he went off. I think you have to focus on his...

    Exeter Stewards confiscating tickets

Sorry, yes it was the home terrace. Amazing that they let a guy in wearing a City top but you had your tickets taken away.

Thanks. Would wonder whether they would get this done for the start of next season.

    Exeter Stewards confiscating tickets

What are they doing with the two sides of the ground? Not much space on either side for a stand, particularly the railway side. You would think that whatever the development is it would have started after the last home game of last season. At the moment there is nothing to show on either side.
