My over riding concern is that if we are poor this season, then season ticket sales will significantly drop next season. Which in turn may lead to Doug getting cold feet on the 5 year plan and start tightening the budgets and cashing in on top players without significant reinvestment.

I think more the intention is to change the style so less of the game is played in the midfield area. Not to take out a player but still fuck about with it in midfield with just one less player.

It's a difficult one, if your weak in an area do you overload that area with even more shit players in hope lots of shit makes something less shit. Or bypass it and focus the play in other areas where you are stronger and have better players.
