    This season's Shirt Sponsor

Nevermind the people worried about gambling sponsorship in football, of all the hot takes on Twitter, this one is by FAR the spiciest

    Nationalism

Ringo - do you plan to press charges against the guy who punched you on the tube, or are you going to play it safe and stick to online-only preaching for the time being?

Are the club going to be live-tweeting this meeting, or just updates at HT/FT?

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

It's easy to see who gets harmed/loses out by grades being arbitrarily downgraded from what they were predicted. Who loses out from those predictions being broadly higher than usual this year?

    Realistic signings

Robins has made loads of signings every year he's been at the club, and has shown he doesn't mind being ruthless in terms of dropping loyal servants who've done well in seasons past. I don't see why he would stop now, especially now we've gone up a division. Even with the decent amount of...

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

This thread got six exclamation marks in the title, and the official forum statement says we're supposedly "delighted" with the announcement, so I think it's fair to say there's a lot of excitement on here.

Is that the one with lifts to your seat and gold-plated taps in the bogs?

    Match Thread Swindon Town Friendly

Going on endlessly about how it's only preseason is fine, but you're allowed to take good and bad things away from a preseason game, even if the results and performances are mostly meaningless at this point. Was very impressed with Burroughs and Bapaga. O'Hare, Baka and Jones also did well...

Who was mainly to blame for our relegation from League 1

10th in L2 is really bad! So bad that some headcase ran on the pitch to try and tackle Michael Doyle! We almost missed the playoffs! Even then, we were one bad game vs Exeter away from going through that all over again. It all seems inevitable now but we'd probably have been smarter to avoid it...

Who was mainly to blame for our relegation from League 1

I think all of that was true for the Prem and Champ relegations too though - or at least in terms of lip service, it was like a weird coping mechanism at times. The difference is that Robins actually went and did it. I just think it's easy to forget how shit things got in the L2 season, and how...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

The $8 billion writedown had nothing to do with the ad campaign. You tried to claim that it did, possibly because you read about it on Wikipedia, but so far the only evidence you've given me is a Reuters link which doesn't mention the advert at all. Hard for me to connect the dots when you give...

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Why not CNN? Their article actually quotes the CFO, who says sales didn't really change much after the advert. I don't see any other news stories with any evidence of sales taking a hit. Anyway, the idea that P&G could take an $8 billion charge because of one ad campaign is insane. The only...

Who was mainly to blame for our relegation from League 1

Getting relegated didn't make us better off in 2001 or 2012. We all have fond memories of the L2 season but it was one game away from being a failure. I think most of us would have been happy with Robins getting us back into the Championship within three years regardless of whether we had to...

Who was mainly to blame for our relegation from League 1

We played just one game against a L1 side on the road to the final - all the rest were against L2 or academy teams (and we needed penalties against one of those)

    New Stadium Announcement!!!!!!

Shows how much attitudes have hardened on here that people are more concerned with screwing over the council than actually knowing where we're going to play.

Who was mainly to blame for our relegation from League 1

Mowbray's complete failure to prepare the team for the season was bizarre, and Venus proved to be way out of his depth. But we won just one game in the league under Slade, and that was after we gave him the chance to strengthen in January (we ended up with Nathan Clarke, Kevin Foley, Beavon and...

    Lockdown Days Out

London is as quiet as it's ever been. Not sure what's open, but it's as good a time as any to see the sights outdoors. And very easy to get around without taking the tube.
