    Match Thread Derby Match Thread

Their goal difference as well as their league position tells you they really are the worst team in the division right now. Their obsession with giving Rooney the manager’s job (over several more qualified colleagues) is a disaster waiting to happen.

    Quote me on this

Glad you’re back in love with life and football, but being in love with this forum is the sign of a deeply disturbed mind and I just hope you get the help you need.

2020s remaining fixtures for us and our rivals

Will the vaccine be ready before the play-offs or should I hold off on my Wembley hotel booking?

    Ben Wilson

If Stockdale had given that performance for us today, there’d be people demanding a statue of him outside the Ricoh.

If we could afford to keep him all season there’s a good chance he’d end the season as our #1

    3rd shirt official

Is there anywhere you draw the line? Sustained Twitter trolling campaign? Punching Santa at West Orchards? Acts of terror?

    3rd shirt official

Clearly if that tweet is anything to go by, it’s been designed in close collaboration between the club and the City of Culture organisers. Which is quite nice really?

    3rd shirt official

Yeah, way to go, they really stuck it to the real villain, the.... [checks notes] head of ops at Coventry City of Culture. Ricoh return surely imminent now.

    3rd shirt official

They basically made a list of possible ideas and then instead of whittling them down, just said fuck it and put them all on. It’s not a bad design but there is a LOT going on. Think it’s more of a collector’s item than something a non-athlete is going to be wearing. Not sure I’d want a...

    Tier 3 for us

If I knew I had to spend Christmas at home in exchange for a chance that we could move up a tier not long after, it would be a no-brainer for me. But looks like the desire to have a ‘normal’ Christmas no matter what has already won. I’m sure it makes sense to someone.

    Tier 3 for us

The Times says it’s unlikely that any tiers will get relaxed until the new year, let alone a fortnight. Apparently they want to see what the impact of the relaxed Christmas rules will be first.

The goalkeeping equivalent of that run and cross Giles did against Rotherham.

    Mcfadzean

I think Ostigard will eventually become that exact player. You could hardly take Fadz out the side now during this rough patch when we desperately need his experience, but I think he'll be the one to go by the end of the season (Hyam has been superb). He was excellent yesterday though.

    Giles

I think he's a much better winger (on either flank) than he is a LWB. Played on the wing for most of last season and did great by most accounts - we're experimenting with him as a wing back partly as a favour to Wolves, can't be too surprised or upset if it doesn't fully work out. The idea that...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The timing of these announcements has been absolutely brutal. Getting people to make plans for Christmas, and then announcing new restrictions straight after, right before the end of the lockdown is just such a gut punch. And ignoring the scientific pros and cons of a regional approach, it's...

Why do you keep saying downplayed? The latest claims about the AZ trials (if you take them seriously) would surely argue the opposite?
