    Take the knee

I don’t know if you’re necessarily a racist, but I think you’re complacent to the point of being actively resistant to those who would stand up against racism. And, with respect, that isn’t much better unfortunately. I know that’s uncomfortable to hear. But until people are prepared to defend...

    Take the knee

Haven’t seen anyone row back this fast since Steve Redgrave’s day. Would you defend a black player raising their fist in the name of equality or not? I’m not asking because there’s a right or wrong answer, I’m asking because you profess to know more about the players’ intentions than the...

    Take the knee

Only you could admit if you’re a closet racist (I’m sure you never would). But I think it’s pretty shameful that if Dabo was booed by a crowd of white people for raising his fist in the name of equality, by your own admission you’d struggle to defend him.

    Take the knee

We’re getting sidetracked and we’re likely in agreement on most things so no point in arguing too much over technicalities. But while the existence of inequality is often a deliberate political decision, and it may take political action to fight it, it nevertheless shouldn’t be seen as a...

    Ben Wilson

In an ideal world I’d like him to not take out the player and give away a penalty.

    Take the knee

Still out of ideas I see? Going from “it’s hard to defend black players raising their fist” to “Dabo can do what he wants” in the space of a few minutes is just embarrassing. Why can’t you see that you’re making exactly the same bad faith arguments as the Millwall fans who insist they’re not...

    Take the knee

Equality is a fundamental human right. There’s nothing political about it. If you want to join a political movement that argues otherwise then go ahead, but you won’t be in great company.

    Holy shit

    Take the knee

It really is amazing that you apparently know more about the motivations behind these protest gestures than the black players themselves. I’m sure they’d love you to explain it to them.

    Ben Wilson

Nothing wrong with having a backup keeper, obviously. But when Marosi got injured there was this huge rush to sign an accomplished keeper on decent wages before the next game. If Wilson was perfectly capable then why not just put the youth keeper on the bench for a couple of weeks? Everyone does...

    Take the knee

So you really think that when black players take the knee they’re thinking “One step closer to the proletariat seizing the means of production, my brothers” rather than “It would be cool if security guards stopped following me around the supermarket for wearing a hoodie” etc? That’s the debate...

    Take the knee

Maybe you should ask him for an apology. Very rude of him to offend you while he tried to ask for equality for five seconds, I’m sure he can make it more palatable for you in the future.

    Ben Wilson

Because if Lee Camp had given up two penalties in his first three games for us, there may well have been a meltdown on here. I think it’s a fair question to ask. If Wilson proves to be perfectly capable all along then it just makes the decision to spend money on Lee Camp slightly strange.

    Take the knee

I’m guessing no-one mentioned it because someone trying and failing to burn a flag isn’t especially awful or important.

    Ben Wilson

My point is that Wilson arguably isn’t doing the business, and we’re currently spending a fair whack on a keeper who most would say is better to just sit on the bench.

Two penalties given away in three games now. Yes, he’s done fine otherwise. Yes, you could argue the decisions were soft. But at what point do we think about starting Lee Camp?

Pretty clear message from the core Millwall fanbase....

    Player ratings

Wilson - 5 Very little to do, but after conceding two penalties in three games, you’d think it’s time to let Camp earn his wages McCallum - 7 Hyam - 7 McFadzean - 7 Ostigard - 7 Looking a lot more comfortable in this system now Dabo - 8 No coincidence that our form has improved just as he...

    Ricoh Breakthrough?

Clearly the guy has Boddy's ear, and if we're not only back in talks but "increasingly hopeful" of a deal, then that is the most encouraging news in ages. Not the most progress in the world, but I'll take it!
