What do we need to progress?

I can tell I’ve managed to break your soul when you have to maintain that Burge and Haynes are superior to Jobello. That must have felt dirty when you hit ‘Reply’.

What do we need to progress?

Of course not, what’s your point? Do Shipley, Burge and Ryan Haynes fit into yours?

What do we need to progress?

Right, but he still played a dozen or so times last year. Whatever the standard, getting that number of games out of him seems inconceivable this year.

What do we need to progress?

British football was stagnating before it opened up to cheap imports from Europe, Scandinavia etc. Their arrival and influence did wonders for the game’s development. Yes, it bothered some Chelsea fans that they could start playing a full XI of foreigners, but most didn’t mind because they...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

For 15 minutes? Without masks? In crowds so big they block the aisles? And the staff or other customers don’t say anything? Not sure if your experience is that typical, I’m out in the real world plenty and I’ve never seen that. Not sure what you mean with Coombe Abbey. Spending the day...

    Club finances

Typically we have to sell one first team player a season to keep the accounts ticking over. Perhaps the increased Championship revenue means we won’t have to do that this year. But who would we even sell if we did?

What do we need to progress?

He played fairly regularly before he joined us so I don’t know if the condition was undiagnosed or something that developed when he joined us. If it’s the former, I don’t know why he’s suddenly unable to play games. If it’s the latter, there’s a decent chance that his career is over.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Can honestly say I’ve never seen what you’re describing in a supermarket. But it’s an airborne disease that spreads most easily in crowded areas, situations where people are talking to each other, and small/poorly ventilated enclosed spaces. It gets worse if people are doing the above for a long...

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

The fact that people are still confused about the difference between meeting up inside someone’s house, and going to the supermarket shows how insanely bad the government’s messaging has been.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

I honestly have no idea, but you need to take a couple of hours off and stop jumping around looking for an argument on here. No-one seems to care quite as much as you right now.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Someone seems angry the gyms might be shut again soon. He won’t start feeling better until someone tells him everything else will be shut in solidarity and London has gone up to Tier 15.

    Coronavirus Thread (Off Topic, Politics)

Can someone let me know once all the 90-something care home residents are done driving up to the Ricoh? I was worried coronavirus might damage my life expectancy, this would be something else.

    Lee Camp

No idea, but I’m willing to bet he’s earning more than Ben Wilson. If we were happy to have a relative nobody like him as a backup for a couple of seasons, why start spending money on backups who are apparently not even as good? We’re supposedly skint and we need new players. Is it too much to...

    Lee Camp

You always need cover, but we overspent on the backup to the backup. Imagine the chaos on here if we signed an experienced Championship striker on loan as cover for Walker, and then just kept him on the bench to play Baka instead.

    Lee Camp

Seems like a waste of money to me. Wilson has been a much cheaper backup for much longer - if all we need is a warm body, then why sign an established Championship GK for the sake of a few minutes game time? We already know we can get Camp in on a couple of days notice anyway.

Where are those stats from? I want to see Sheaf vs Kelly.

    Match Thread Preston

Unless he was asymptomatic, in which case it wouldn’t have made any impact at all. Managers usually mention when players are playing through an injury, don’t they?
