For the love of Gyok, please just let us sign one left-sided CB. I like Hyam, but I don't want to watch him play 46 more games of trying to play it out from the back with his right foot.

    Baka departs

Did Lee Hughes even leave under a cloud? We only sold him because we were skint, the court stuff wasn’t until afterwards.

    Gustavo Hamer

Sell him for £8 million, get Stockdale for £7 million, that leaves £1 million for the Stockdale statue outside the Ricoh.

    The Super Duper Ratings Thread

Josh Reid and Brandon Mason rated our two best defenders Gyokeres and Biamou our two best strikers Fun system!

Of course he had to stretch to try and get there, but he clearly wasn’t intending to put it where he did. By any definition it was a mistake.

Yesterday’s clearly was though. Unless he meant to do it? I like McFadzean, and I think he should get another year, but I don’t expect us to be very good next season if he plays every week. The experience and leadership he brings is very valuable, but it comes with a cost.

If we don’t bring in a single CB then there’s a decent chance we’ll be relegated. We need at least two new ones.

    Priority is a new keeper

How much will Stockdale cost us in the summer now then? £4 million? £6 million? Straight swap for O’Hare? Obviously he has to be the priority signing.

Deal or no Deal : Max Biamou

The inevitable 'Thank You Max' retrospective highlight reel on social media will be genuinely entertaining, if nothing else.

Do you want to discuss boring politics?

Didn't mean it as point-scoring! Unfortunately for Corbyn/Labour, the 150,000 people at Glastonbury probably vote in a total of four or five different constituencies.

Honest question - if someone else in our division signs Gyokeres in the summer, are you nervous to go up against him next season?

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

Six who were objectively good (underlined) Two who were objectively shit (struck out) Four who got derailed by serious injury (in red) The rest were just stopgaps or lottery tickets Not like anyone's going to die on a hill for most of those players, but silly to suggest MR has some kind of...

Announcement on Ricoh future today - The Coventry Building Society Arena

Surely it's more likely to be the other way round? A new naming rights deal was conditional on a second, more prominent team playing at the stadium. Obviously CBS had an inkling that CCFC were coming back, even if Wasps couldn't tell them officially. They've got an absolute bargain otherwise...

    21/22 Summer transfer mega-thread

£1 million for Gyokeres would be too steep for me - would rather pick up a free transfer or loan for the year and pay them £19k a week with that money, which would surely get you a real difference maker.

Announcement on Ricoh future today - The Coventry Building Society Arena

As far as name changes go, this is about as innocuous as it gets. Could have been a hell of a lot worse, and best case scenario people will just be calling it 'the Coventry Arena' in a few years. All things considered, Ricoh Arena was generally a pretty good name for a stadium right?
