Yeah….and Bywater had been promoted with West Ham the year before as well, but only played a dozen or so games. In my opinion it’s the most hit and miss position, and the most freely available as well.

We have far more pressing areas to strengthen. Even if we find the next Lev Yashin, he wouldn’t have a hope with our current back line. We have limited resources and we need to choose our priorities wisely. There’s a reason that teams rarely prioritise keepers. Concentrate on the more important...

Not really, but it probably wouldn’t get us relegated - it didn’t last season, at least. A back three of Rose-McFadzean-Hyam, though? Or Tavares as our third choice striker? Or Josh Reid playing 46 games at LWB? That’s what really makes me worry. Keepers don’t really matter much in comparison.

I think I would rather we strengthen in almost every other position on the pitch before we start spending money on keepers. And I say this as someone who thinks Wilson is comfortably the worst player in the squad.

There’s no-one really that appealing out there. I think we’ll probably talk ourselves into Eddie Howe or Potter. Unless Southgate holds on a few more seasons and the Stevie G hype train has gathered pace.

Not sure the EFL would have gone to the trouble of doing interchangeable fixtures if there wasn’t a serious chance of Derby getting relegated before the season starts.

Currently in Cornwall and it’s absolute mayhem in the tourist towns - a lot of restaurants are struggling to stay open between their inability to find temporary staff, and their permanent staff having to isolate due to COVID outbreaks. It’s bloody beautiful on the beach though.

Glad to see that James’ career at City ended the way it began - with baseless guesswork about his wages to justify whatever point of view is convenient.

It’s probably been a few decades for him so he clearly likes to imagine the younger, slimmer blokes instead. Whatever works for him, I guess, but it does get a lot weirder for me now that Boosh is trying to join in as well.

I think that trade deal is of more strategic importance than economic importance tbh. Not going to transform our economy overnight (although I’m sure some government ministers will spin it that way regardless) but it’s a good thing for us to be part of it.
