    England approach Roy Hodgson

Agree with a lot of that Stu. Worry is that after the world cup it will be straight back on the horse for the Euro qualifying. With expectation so low this time out it would have been an opportunity to experiment. We can't afford to experiment for the 2016 qualifiers.

    England approach Roy Hodgson

And good old Arry has his say!! England in 2022 - Redknapp QPR boss Harry Redknapp is sceptical about England's chances of winning the 2022 World Cup: "Are we going to win the World Cup in Doha? Good luck. Not a prayer. Get in the real world. "

    England approach Roy Hodgson

Le Tissier: Hodgson could have been braver Former England and Southampton midfielder Matt Le Tissier on Roy Hodgson's future as England manager: "The FA will stick by him because he's the right kind of character to be England manager. "He'll be looking at himself asking 'should...

    Club or country

I just think a world cup win would be so huge, so immense. The whole country in unision. The feel good factor involved. The happiness it would bring to an entire nation. I dare say we'd get a national holiday out of it too. Don't think any of us actually envisage just how fantastical it would...

    Germany Ghana !!

Am thinking only from an England perpsective of course! :) But let's face it, if the City were doing shit in the league and losing, there's no we would be saying 'Wow, what a great league!' would we.

    England v Costa Rica

I'd still pick Barclay. He may be raw but what better time to pick him that in match that doesn't matter one little bit. I reckon he'll play and I hope he does.

Can England Win Euro 2016 ?

Cautious has summed up England for years in tournaments. Always seem reluctant to give it a go. Seems like we are scared to lose and concentrating on that rather than striving to win. Felt we showed too much respect to Italy and Pirlo the other night. Almost as if we just accepted his genius...

    Germany Ghana !!

See my other post, Wingy. Euro 2016 thread. Not showing Germany any respect. Showing no fear and not at all in awe of them. Take note, England!

    England v Costa Rica

Sounds like I don't rate Walcott, but in fact I do. He is unpredictable at times and he does have a good footballing brain when it comes to movement. Shows a great deal of intelligence at times off the ball.

Can England Win Euro 2016 ?

Good case in point again tonight. Ghana are showing no fear in the game against the Germans. No respect or awe. They are giving them a good game so far and making a real fist of it. Now put England in Ghana's shoes tonight. Would we be showing no fear or respect against the Germans?

    England v Costa Rica

Walcott's touch lets him down though. Sometimes I think he just puts his head down and runs and hopes for the best, with the bal bouncing off his shins have the time. And the thing is about Johnson, he is finished. Can't see him ever playing for England again, so why play him on Tuesday? I...

Can England Win Euro 2016 ?

I think an awful lot of it comes down to belief and not giving other teams too much respect. I think sometimes we look and think Ooh, It's Italy, they are a good side. France! Germany. They have top players. Too much respect for other teams and a lack pf self belief in ourselves. I bet no USA...

    England v Costa Rica

No Sterling? :o I'd like to see both Ox and Sterling play. Both really quick and have the ability to terrorise defences. I'd give Jones another go at right back. Simply based on the fact that I think Johnson is far too past his best to ever play for England again.

    England v Costa Rica

Interesting from training today? BBC reporting that at the training session today both first team fullbacks and Gerrard sat out and watched. Oxlade-Chamberlain and Luke Shaw in.

    England - Euro's 2016

My missus has said she wants to go on holiday in France, but I have always been against it. She has absolutely no idea about any football tournaments anywhere, so I may just suggest I've had a change of heart and maybe we should go the year after next!
