    intresting article

This has been the problem since day one of the Sisu takeover. Nobody is "pro-Sisu". It's a hedge fund, no CCFC supporters behind their ownership, not pumping enough into the club. But...when people say "Sisu are evil and have ruined the club", well, it's such an exaggeration that others are...

    The worst midfield players ever...

One of the biggest hype-to-disappointment midfielders has to be John Salako. He obviously wasn't in the Leigh "Trick" Jenkinson category, but everybody thought he'd do far, far more for the club than he actually did. Sandy Robertson...I think there was a dodgy rumour going around that CCFC...

Yeah. I remember the fans booing Dion while he was a CCFC player after a long goal drought; it eventually led to him being put on the sub's bench, and his first sub appearance resulted in a goal (and he never looked back). He was also slammed for going to Villa, and had songs sung about his neck...

I remember his debut. He came on as a sub and absolutely skinned the fullback with his speed, then crossed the ball past the keeper for a simple tap-in (can't remember who got the goal though). Huck had serious wheels back in the day.

Was that the game we won 4-0? I took a girl on a first date to that game, in the West Terrace no less. Classy! God knows what she thought of thousands of the City hardcore going nuts.

Adam Ndlovu. I think the word at the time was that City were interested in both brothers, but only picked one because of the overseas player rule in place at the time. Not sure if there's any truth in it or not.

It goes without saying that Keane, McAllister, Dublin, Nuddy, Huckerby, Whelan, Gallacher et al made for great memories, but how about some memories of the lesser obvious guys? For me, a prime example was Paul Williams' first season. He played CMF all season, and was this rampaging rhino of...

I don't think Hadji and Dublin ever played together at City, and Hadji only left after the club were relegated (which was understandable for both club and player given his pedigree), so I don't think it's really something one can hold against Dublin.

tbf, George Boateng criticised Bryan Richardson for his spinning of his transfer to Villa. That was on Boateng's official website, which is now sadly no more. Considering that Boateng, Dublin, and Huckerby have all hinted at the 'issues from above', I'd take any of the Richardson era PR with a...

Linky I'm not sure we'll ever know the truth (though wouldn't it be great to sit down with a member of the 90s board for a frank discussion?) But the whole thing just seemed wholly out of character for Dion - he was never short of commitment, had no blots on his card, and had signed a new...

Legend. Four+ years of total commitment, leadership, and genuine quality. It's a massive contrast from today's players who either get clubbed out, don't put in a shift, lobby for moves after signing new contracts, etc. As for his move to the Villa, I am inclined to take anybody else's side if...

    "Quality over quantity"

    Self-pitying nonsense.

    Divided fans.

I'd be surprised if anybody would choose 'keep them in' over 'no realistic alternative'. But you know, wording is everything. You could say 'Roll the dice with admin' instead of 'Get SISU out'; or you could say 'Get SISU out if there's a feasible alternative', in which case I'd sign up, etc.

    Sisu members on here

Onye Igwe mentioned that he occasionally browsed CCFC forums during his BBC C&W interview last week.

    Apologies to SISU anyone?

We sold one player who hasn't played for 10 months, and brought in another (for a decentish sum). It was hardly the apocalyptic firesale that many had predicted last night.

    Apologies to SISU anyone?

So to be clear...unless you are vehemently against SISU, gallows humour, and being reasonably calm, there's no place for you on SBT?

    Apologies to SISU anyone?

Not easy to deal with fanaticism, eh? ;)

    We should remember this.

Couldn't agree more with TommyAtkins. The club's back was broken under Richardson's watch. £60m of debt, no stadium, second-tier football; I'd like to know a business plan to get out of that mess. It is too easy to throw all the resentment of years of slow decline at SISU. I'm a pessimist...

Got a feeling Thorn will walk !!

I've explained my position several times - the transfer budget is likely dependent on player sales, as it was under Aidy. You define the transfer budget as £Xm, but I define it as wheeling-and-dealing. For example, if Parkin comes in as Juke and Turner go out, that is an example of some...
