I’ve taken a slightly different view. Match our results from the reverse fixtures and we would achieve 41 more points.
That leaves us with leeway to lose 3/4 games we won in the reverse fixture and still make 87 points. Of course we do have the opportunity to improve on results e.g. Norwich...
That is completely false. The reward for reaching the premier league is exactly the same only it rests on a single game and is therefore termed ‘the richest game in football.
Even the gate receipts for reaching the final are given away by the winning team under a gentlemen’s agreement.
We achieved 13 wins and 4 draws from the first 18 games. Can that be repeated to take us to (effective) promotion by 39 games? Or is that over optimistic?
Putting an optimistic slant on it, if current PPG is maintained the season pans out as follows:
32 games - mathematically safe from relegation
37 games - play offs secure
38 games - promoted
39 games - champions
Put the dates in your diaries :ROFLMAO:
It’s 12 days I believe under the standard procedure for elite players, but also states:
For exceptional cases involving specialists and a medical committee, this minimum may be reduced to seven days, but this is not the standard procedure.
