Dropping him or resting him? It's clear he needs to be given a rest, even if that means a couple of early substitutions.

Personally I'd play Onyeka up front and Gary Breen at centre half :ROFLMAO:

Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

We've now reached a fork in the road and in my opinion it can go either way dependent on the team's mentality and integration/performance of new signings. Are we this season's Sunderland (18 points from the last 16 games) or Burnley (42 points)? Believe it or not, they were level after 30...

    Just A Blip?

February is going to be the make or break month. With Ipswich having a run of away games we need to exploit any slip ups they have. On the flip side, continuation of recent form could see us drop out of the top 2.

    Just A Blip?

My gut feeling is we'll win the next 3 and Restore at least a 6 point gap to Boro. We'll then manage/maintain that gap until the end of the season.

    Asante 3 match ban incoming

That would be a double whammy given they play Boro tomorrow.

Anything mentioned on today’s press conference?

Still at 2 points a game

Or another pandemic before Ipswich and Boro overtake us on PPG

    Transfer Rumour Frank Onyeka

Just saw 2 magpies on my morning walk, also the 'real' Thomas-Asante on Facebook says he signed last night, so I'm definitely going with those positive signs :ROFLMAO:

That may already have happened but not been announced.

    Frank

He has that option, but will be reluctant given he has just loaned in two wingers, albeit Esse can play centrally

    Frank

Lampard did it last season soon after the Portsmouth debacle and we went on a 9 out of 10 winning run of mostly 1-0s. Can he do it again?

An extra body in midfield is definitely needed. I’m amazed it didn’t happen last night, even at half time.

    Let’s have some calm

Going back to basics is the key. Give a bit more protection to the defence with an extra midfielder if necessary. If it means a couple of 0-0s away then so be it. Our winning run last season came from keeping clean sheets.

Winning on Sky on a Monday night counts for double points 🤣

It would 13/14 wins to make the play offs. Win every game to get top 2.

Match Thread Norwich City - Coventry City Match Thread - Monday 26th Jan

Some perspective is needed. In our recent ‘poor’ run we’ve only had 3 results which have dropped us below the points required. Away draws at Birmingham and Ipswich would have been acceptable and the home defeat to Ipswich was down to tactical naivety and a bit of bad luck. One away win...

    Checking in

Actually there is a scenario of Cov and Boro putting together an extended winning run, drawing with each other and leaving Ipswich behind in the dust with their long run of away games. We can dream :ROFLMAO:

    Championship thread 25/26!

We cannot put ourselves in the position of facing Wrexham in the playoffs. The media, the EFL and probably the officials would all be against us in that scenario.

True, but the hoodoo is about never winning there. It might be a point we’re very happy with come the end of the season.
