I'm a similar age to you, 2 years older, I started watching in the 87 season. I don't think this is the best team we've had since then but I would say it's as exciting as it's been for many years. We were pretty good at one phase in the late-nineties.

I did watch it (although not in the stadium) and we played really well and could and should have won, but I think they looked like better players having a bad day. I just think it could swing towards them this time. I remain optimistic though and would be very happy if we can do it!

I can understand some apathy but it amazes me that some people actually want a defeat. Surely the feel-good factor of beating a team a division above and a local derby win would be very good for everyone. I understand the fixture build-up argument but we have a big squad and rotation will work...
