Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

It was a bit dull but I wouldn’t say that Charlton looked much of a threat. We should come out and push for a second and then settle if we get it.

I think he'll persist with Wright and Rudoni, he just seems to like them. I expect them both to come good soon. I reckon this will be tight again, ,aybe we'll sneak it by one

It's 3 matches for serious foul play, which is what Dasilva would have had. He's only missed one so far

Match Thread Coventry City - Ipswich Town Match Thread - Monday 29th Dec

I feel slightly anxious about this one. Despite their poor results away from home, they looked decent when we played them at their place. They have a lot of good players going forward and their keeper and defence were solid. I think they will turn up tonight. That said, at some point Wright has...

Match Thread Southampton - Coventry City Match Thread - Saturday 20th Dec

I hated Lampard before he came here. I was really disappointed when I heard he was coming here, my least favourite choice. He was part of that horrible Chelsea team under Abramovic and Mourinho with Terry and Drogba etc. They were very good and very arrogant and very corrupt (dodgy Russian money...

Match Thread Coventry City - Swansea City Match Thread - Friday 26th Dec

I don't get to go to many matches, I live in Hastings. This is only my third game of the season. I always try to get to the Boxing Day fixture if we're at home as I'll be in the Midlands with family and I love the atmosphere at the Boxing Day fixture. I'm really looking forward to it. As with...

Had to settle for listening today. Sounds like we held on. Good result

I actually don’t think this will be a trouncing. Lati and Wolfenden are good players with loads of experience. They only aren’t playing because of how well the other two have done. The attack will still be potent, we’ve had plenty of games without Sakamoto this season and still won. I’m sure...

    Our next major appointment

Win at all costs? Not for me thanks. I hated it when we had Marlon King at the club. I think John Terry is a nasty piece of work and I'd rather we were less good without him than better with him.

Because he's always come across as an arehole and when there's an arsehole in the group, either as a leader or not, they cause disruption. Groups of good people are what we need. In my view anyway

Is that because of his history as an England player perhaps? Although very few England managers have been successful England players, Southgate I guess?

    Our next major appointment

One thing that seems to have worked well in recent years, certainly with the players, is they seem to have made a big effort to appoint people who are decent and non-disruptive. It seems to be a big part of the ethos to make sure that individuals are friends with each other and form a bond etc...

He won't drop Rudoni for Eccles, I get the feeling that, like Wright, he plays if fit regardless of form. Same side I reckon

Why do you keep adding 'tards' to other words and parts of words? Makes you look horrible. Have you ever considered what it means?

Match Thread Preston North End FC - Coventry City Match Thread - Tuesday 9th Dec

I've been reading through a lot of this thread. People have the right to state their grievances of course, and it was a disappointing result and more disappointing that we couldn't finish off 10 men. I don't think it was as bad as some people are making out though. We were good in the first...
