Match Thread Coventry City - Millwall FC Match Thread - Tuesday 20th Jan

I agree with a lot of what you say. I have a good mate who supports your lot and also says racism is on the decline. Backing up the booing of people making a peaceful protest against racism does not help your argument. Anyone booing taking the knee is being racist. The ´no politics in...

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

Buying a 4th centre back is sensible though isn't it? Otherwise you'd be asking Bidwell over Chrostmas. Easier for others to fill in on the wing or tuck players in. I agree £4m seems a lot for a pretty average looking player though.

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

Still nervous but less so as it approaches. We will win a game soon and it would be great if it was this one. They have a great team on paper but seem to be unperforming this season. I think having BTA and Torp back in will give everyone a lift, possibly league debuts for the loanees as well...

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

I'm nervous too. It just feels like a defeat incoming. I always used to be so positive as a fan. I think I am much more anxious now we're top as we have something to lose. I think when you're fighting to catch up with playoffs or whatever, you can look at the gap and imagine a way to cut it; but...

Match Thread Coventry City - Leicester City Match Thread-Sat 17th Jan 12.30pm

I'm feeling nervous about this one. I'm not too nothered about the local rivalry stuff, I don't live near Cov. I just feel that they are capable of a good performance and ours have been so weak lately. I'm getting anxious that we are in a slump and it's hard to get out of it. I'm still hopeful...

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 10th Jan

Im actually really disappointed. I hate fielding weakened teams in the cup. It pisses me off. I like a cup run and it feels like we didn’t try. Deserved to lose but the fault lies with Lampard for not trying. A win would have been better for the general mood. What’s that now, 2 wins in 8? Poor show

Play the strongest team and get ahead then makes subs. Seems obvious to me.

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 10th Jan

Sure but teams in the Premier League who are fighting relegation, always seem to throw the cup as well. It seems a lot of teams at both ends of the table don't take it seriously. It annoys me, always has. There is some kind of rule about how many players you can change from the previous fixture...

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 10th Jan

I include football managers amongst people. I guess I'm just old school in that respect and love a good cup run. I don't think it will be the difference to our league run. I guess if we did well in the cup and failed to go up people would blame the cup. There's no tangible way we can ever know...

With respect, I disagree. They're unlikely to get injured. They could do with game time. The oonly one who seems knackered is MVE as he was ill but the rest should play.

Match Thread Stoke City - Coventry City [FA] Match Thread - Saturday 10th Jan

People are weird about cup matches. Everyone seems to think it's crazy or stupid to put out a string team. I just don't buy it. It's not like we're getting injuroes every week, of course it can happen (BTA and KKH for example) but most players survive a game of football without injuries. As for...

I disagree with all of you. Play the first 11. This is winnable. Would be good for confidence and fitness. A cup run is fun and can go alongside the league run. All out to win!!

Match Thread Birmingham City - Coventry City Match Thread - Sunday 4th Jan

For some reason we just don’t look very potent. Can’t put my finger on it but we’re having a lot of the ball but just no real danger. Something needs to change.

9 points clear with 63 to play for

I think it's about the 'daring to believe', when we were so many points ahead at the top we all started to imagine going up and how that would feel. Now we have had a few points dropped we're all imagining us not going up and it feels worse after dreaming. We might well mess this up and end up...

Match Thread Charlton Athletic - Coventry City Match Thread - Thursday 1st Jan

It was a strange game. I thought we'd go on to thrash them after we scored early. We just seemed tired and ineffective again. You notice when you see Grimes playing poor passes and everyone falling over all the time when they're trying to win the ball. We didn't deserve to win. I think Lampard...
