Do you want to discuss boring politics?

    More like Tony BLIAR!!!

    Southport Stabbing

This is exactly my point It’s meaningless trying to justify either migrant hotels or a royal coronation in purely economic terms, when so much of the opposition to them is rooted in cultural differences.

    Southport Stabbing

I mean, there are plenty of economists whose careers would suggest it’s extremely possible to at least make an educated prediction

    Southport Stabbing

Extra people = extra economic activity + extra tax revenues I’m sure some will end up being a net drain on public finances but so long as the net benefit is greater than the cost of the hotels then presumably it’s a money spinner and you’ve no problem with it

    Southport Stabbing

Regardless if you’re for immigrants or not, the spending on hotels will eventually be recouped in part or even maybe a profit. So I guess we’re…..good?

    Southport Stabbing

So it’s justified so long as it results in people spending more money, do I have that right?

    Defence

We seem pretty comfortable to let whoever played in goal last stay there until they get injured or make a mistake - we don’t have a designated first choice. Collins would be my choice if we did.

    Defence

I have it on good authority that Bobby Thomas wouldn’t make a tackle last season without looking over to Dennis Lawrence on the touchline first and waiting for him to give a reassuring thumbs-up. Aled Williams doesn’t do that, is it any wonder we’re in trouble?

    Defence

It was the most vulnerable part of the deck last season and we didn’t do a single thing to improve it in the summer. People spent the whole time bleating about signing more keepers and spare Ben Sheafs.

    Transfer Rumour January transfer window

We haven’t fixed any of the problems we identified in the summer - for me, we need at least four or five more goalkeepers

A Man United YouTuber got several thousand clicks out of it during an international break

The Hamer applause at the corner

I’m pretty sure the several thousands of people in Singers Corner clapping him weren’t doing it to encourage him to take a better corner.

Match Thread Coventry City - Sheffield United Match Thread - Saturday 23rd Nov

I think he’s a good fit for Sheffield United but aside from there he’s not done much at this level at all

    Bassette Shithouse Appreciation

Tbf I know people like to say we’re too soft and we don’t do shithousery etc but we seem to be pretty up for it at the moment. When Bassette got shoved down it was like the whole team steamed in within seconds.

    Former Fans Favourite O’Hare

It’s pantomime, as the opening poster said - I struggle to get that upset about either

The Hamer applause at the corner

The key difference is that he’s a much better player than O’Hare, and we made a substantial profit on him

The Hamer applause at the corner

Can you imagine the reception if Vik was taking the corner? Would be like Beatlemania.

The Hamer applause at the corner

I know some fans might have clapped just because it was the return of a likeable player who played very well for us and left for bigger things. But I was clapping Hamer to invest some magical power into the corner he was about to take. I’m very sad it didn’t work.

    Bassette Shithouse Appreciation

He’s a hilarious player - acts like a fan who’s won a competition. He’ll be a proper cult hero if he can back it up with more performances.

The Hamer applause at the corner

I suppose the argument would be that one left us for a Premier League team for a big transfer fee whereas the other one left us for a team in the same division for free More importantly, it’s all pantomime though and you can’t take it too seriously
