Was it? He spent most of his career at Walsall. I doubt he had much to do with the first team managers at Chelsea either. Don't get me wrong, he was a great coach, but there aren't many true elite coaches taking assistant jobs at near-bankrupt L2 teams.

I don't think they were really so different. Viveash's resume consisted of various Chelsea youth teams and Cirencester Town.

Think that team from the opening post looks like our strongest side on paper. I do wonder if Lampard rates Sheaf and EMC highly enough to shoehorn them into the side regardless, in which case Simms and Sakamoto would probably make way (Rudoni out wide, Wright up front) And I have my doubts...

What you're describing is social anxiety and cultural misunderstandings, which are inevitable, but how does that erase British culture? Does a part of the Union Jack lose its colour Dorian Gray-style every time a couple of Dutch guys have a conversation on a bus?

I don't think anyone is denying that Britain has a culture, but if you're going to claim that British culture is being erased then you do at least have to be able to define what exactly is being lost.
