Match Thread Coventry City - Oxford United Match Thread - Saturday 7th Feb

Thought I'd have a look at the match compared with the Hull first game of the season. There were some pretty OTT reactions after that and we all know what happened from there. I don't know why I post on match threads at the time of the match, it's too raw.

    Transfer Rumour Jahnoah Markelo

Why would you sign another striker when we've got 3 of them in double figures? We have stopped creating chances.

Has something other than him not being match fit been said somewhere?

    It’s a shame it’s ended this way…

Sanctimonious means not declaring the season over when you are top of the table on the 7th February. I'm ok with that.

Oh give it a fucking rest man, it's the beginning of February there is everything to play for. Imagine being in the trenches with a flannel like you

Reminds me of an Italian sauce

I don't understand the concern really, Thomas and Kitching have been woeful and ripped apart be the most ordinary of attacks. We still haven't lost a game Lati started in.

TBF Simms helped to create the only actual chance we had, as he laid the ball off into Sakamoto to set up Wright. We just do not use our strikers well at all.

    Unacceptable

I'm not sure why we don't just behave like a chasing side, because ultimately that's all you are until you actually win

It was one way traffic because the other team came for a point. We struggled to create a single chance. The football is slow, safe and ponderous. Very little progressive passing.

Why in the last minute is Wolf stood in a crossing position, he should be putting the ball wide and running into the penalty area

We're in relegation form now though and people are entitled to be concerned about that. There were hints that we were going to "go big" in January and what did we do? 1 prem loanee who looks like he's just come for a piss about 1 prem loanee who is clearly not ready for this level 1 signing...

Yet only started 1 of them. We've certainly not had the uplift we needed, in fact Esse's performance is already declining. I'm a little worried now that Lampard doesn't have any ideas.

Deserved booing off, not a single player really willing to take any responsibility there. Utter fucking fannies

Why oh why did Esse take a quick free kick there? It's a crossing position and you've got two big strikers on
