Do you want to discuss boring politics?

I think that while there’s nothing especially novel or revolutionary about Farage’s politics, he nevertheless clearly represents an alternative to the political mainstream by openly embracing the kind of nationalist and anti-immigrant views that the main parties have typically seen as taboo. I...

Match Thread Coventry City - Middlesbrough Match Thread - Saturday 3rd May

Huh? Wilson has been a backup keeper for pretty much his entire career. Every City manager Wilson has ever had has ended up preferring Collins over him. What the fans think about a keeper who hasn’t played regular football in more than a year is neither here nor there I’m afraid.

Or put another way, “Change the team’s entire tactical setup for the most important four games of the season so you can incorporate your third choice keeper”

There are no good options here. Lampard’s job is to pick the least bad. If you think Wilson is certain to stink up the gameplan, then I can see the logic in taking a punt on Collins playing like a normal keeper for once. Hard as it is to remember, he can actually do it!

Wilson routinely punts the ball into the stands like a human t-shirt cannon. I can’t see how you could start him in a team that plays like we do without making massive tactical compromises. Which is ultimately why he probably won’t.

    Live Scores on Scoreboard?

Not that I could do his job in a million years, and I enjoy his updates, but this guy seems to work with the most convoluted operating system I’ve ever seen. Every other week it’s like “My entire Saturday has turned upside down” and it’s because three different players scored in a single game or...

    Womens football

I don’t think the timing of the announcement is any great mystery. I also think apologies are unlikely given this appears to be mostly about the FA moving to comply with the law now they have (welcome) legal clarity on the issue, as opposed to some kind of moral stance.

    Womens football

From the scale of the coverage, I would have thought we’d be talking about thousands if not tens of thousands, rather than dozens and hundreds.

    Womens football

I did not appreciate that of the millions of amateur players registered with the FA, fewer than 30 of them are transgender women. Not that it affects the merits of the decision itself, but you wouldn’t have guessed that number from looking at the coverage of this story.

    Ref again

Liam Walsh’s red card from last week has been overturned. Typical refs biased against us.

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Would you support the British government if it began a huge military aid project to help the Palestinians defend themselves against the Israelis?

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Why? Do Christians not also have the same religious imperative to accept migrants and help those in need?

    Israel - Palestinian Conflict

Our own country doesn’t seem that keen on taking in fellow Christians in their millions from Eastern Europe. Why should any other country do the same?
