Winning after being behind twice...and the Brazilian kit

They haven't beaten us at home in the league for 20 years! October 1992 was the last time. We lost to them regularly at Stamford Bridge at the end of the '90s though. Clearly, we're two evenly matched sides! ;) :D

    2013 A Fresh Start?

This is why I fervently hope we manage to sneak into the automatic promotion places. The play-offs are such a lottery. But I have noticed the teams which make a late charge into the play-offs often do well - so let's hope we count as the late charge and someone else doesn't turn it on soon like...

Winning after being behind twice...and the Brazilian kit

We beat them when they were wearing our kit too. We actually beat them for four consecutive seasons at Highfield Road from 95/96 to 98/99.

What Dons fans think of us.

They weren't too happy with some of our fans after the game: http://www.thezonemk.co.uk/phpbb3/viewtopic.php?f=107&t=8444

5 points off the playoffs, your views??

I'm stoked at our current run of results. I want to dream the dream I really do, but I'm too used to Coventry past to let myself get to carried away by Coventry present or dreams of promotion in Coventry future. It is beginning to look like we have truly turned a corner on the pitch, but until I...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Pretty much the same statement ACL gave the Sky Blue Trust yesterday.

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

But we don't know how much the market can bear. If, for example, ACL think they can bring in an extra £400,000 per year from the letting out the arena for more concerts, monster trucks and some rugby games, then the market rate could be far higher than Sisu claim they are willing to pay. My...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

Ah, yes, the "rip-off" argument. If you'd be so kind, walk me through ACLs incomings and outgoings (before and after any renegotiation of their loan terms with the bank) to show me how much more Arena anchor tenant CCFC pay than ACL need them to pay to keep going. Maybe CCFC have been paying...

Chaps hearing the ricoh deal is done..

    1. I've asked for a link to the Football League study JS quoted as I couldn't find it anywhere. No one has provided it as far as I can recall. 2. It's immaterial anyway, the amount paid by each club will depend on the particular circumstances at each club. 3. ACL don't have to engage in the PR...

talks over rent issues have stalled

And the club paid for the bulk of the modern Portman Road construction, as I understand it. Did CCFC build their ground?

Ipswich signed a 99-lease on Portman Road... in 1968!!! Are the two arrangements really comparable?

Jan, I see you're on here, do you know anymore beyond what the Trust has just tweeted?

talks over rent issues have stalled

Sky Blue Trust have just tweeted what they say is an ACL statement: "At the current time, no agreement has been reached with CCFC owners Joy Seppala and her Mayfair-based hedge fund Sisu over the outstanding rent issue. Arena Coventry Limited is disappointed at this and will be considering its...

talks over rent issues have stalled

At a guess, I suspect Brinner was reporting what that bloke on Twitter said (see my post on p1) as the content was similar and he posted a couple of minutes after the tweet. I might be wrong, of course.

talks over rent issues have stalled

There's a guy on Twitter, CJ Joiner, says he's had a text off Liz Cooper (I assume the same Liz Cooper who is Marketing Manager of the Ricoh Arena) saying no agreement has been reached and ACL are pursuing their legal options.
