As far as the headliners go it’s a pretty pedestrian year but the lineup overall is absolutely stacked (Nilufer Yanya —> Weezer —> Yusuf Dayes —> Ezra Collective —> Deftones —> Doechii is a ridiculous run today for example) Also the after-hours dance music alone would be worth going for.

Who said anything about it being practical? For one group it can be a matter of survival; for the other it’s largely one of convenience.

As far as recruitment goes, I’d say he’s been dealt the best hand the club has offered in years! He hasn’t done terribly by any stretch but I don’t think he’s been outstanding either.

To be honest I’d say his record in terms of identifying new talent has been pretty average by our recent standards. Very few of his signings have been slam dunk successes.
