The Edge: What do we think?

Just wondered what people who watch him regularly think of him as a player. I've only seen him a few times and I don't think I'm in a position to judge him properly, although from what I have seen he seems like a player who makes the odd mistake but is usually good enough to make amends. Thoughts?

    Form since the 5 defeats......

I think it's fair to say that Robins is the more professional of the two, both in the way he speaks and acts. I've changed my view, and it was painful accepting I was wrong to sit on the fence about AT, but he wasn't a great manager. Would we have stayed up with someone else? I say it was...

    Form since the 5 defeats......

I was fairly apathetic toward AT; partly because he did his best during a terribly unsettling period and I couldn't bring myself to dislike him, and partly because I think managerially he was on a par with some of the other dross appointed over the past twelve years, however (and it's a big...

COLCHESTER MATCH THREAD - let's go

Mifsud was more than his agent though. His ego was the size of my mother-in-law's waistline.

COLCHESTER MATCH THREAD - let's go

If he doesn't sign then some people will blame SISU, even if it is ultimately not their decision. We have to hope he enjoys being lauded by the SBA, and that he makes an emotional decision rather than financial. That, I'm afraid, seems like our only hope.

Clive Eakin made a very good point tonight

The two CDM's hold so the fullbacks can attack. You switch to 442 that option's gone, leaving us vulnerable on the attack. Besides, whoever is in the 'hole' is effectively there as a second striker if and when attacking (at least in theory). It's working, and I reckon it's because of AT's...

COLCHESTER MATCH THREAD - let's go

We're joint 7th highest scorers in L1 this season now. How bizarre.

All of the other sources will get the press association report which is why they all say McG.

Sod all that, positive goal difference! Must be the first time in two years.

I think Clive is actually a qualified referee iirc.

At least we'd be strong on the right wing...

Carl Baker - tries hard but

Baker put on facebook that he listened to the cwr radio phone-in on the way back and was bemused by some of the critisism, in particular the bloke blaming him for not defending a short corner. He pointed out that MR gives them a job to do, a role to play, and he makes a valid point. As fans we...

    McGoldrick: City's best loan signing?

I haven't seen that interview, but if that's what he says then all I can say is fair play to the bloke, and SIGN HIM UP!

    McGoldrick: City's best loan signing?

There's an assumption that DMC WANTS to stay. Every interview I've read with him is left with him being vague, basically saying that he's leaving his options open.

    Managerial idea?

Yes, think it was Watford in the 4th round in '88.

    Are the players "too good"?

I've been making a similar point to anyone who will listen all season. I think AT bought players who would do a Championship job as they'd have more time on the ball to pick a pass, shot etc. Unfortunately we're lacking the pace and physicality for L1, and teams press quicker and harder to make...

    A Revolution under Robins?

I've voted bottom half, a decision that was made by my head not my heart. I just think it's too late to start to steamroller teams. By the time Robins has them playing how he wants it'll be Christmas, which is may just be a tad too late. I hope I'm proved wrong, but I've been gullible on this...

    CET: Richard shaw sacked

The report(s) I've read suggest Shaw, or rather the Ass Man position, was made redundant. That being the case I assume the pay-off is a lot less than we may expect. I'm not too hot on employment law nowadays but redundancy tends to pay poorly if your tenancy was short lived. I believe this would...
