    Transfer Rumour Jordy Hiwula confirmed

36 in 120, so close to 1 in 3. Played for teams not expected to score sackfuls of goals too, so a half-decent record.

    Squad continuity this season

Interesting that all four of the L2 promoted clubs have kept the bulk of their squad together. Confidence, or lack of money and clout?

Remember when we were top of The Premier League

Was that the game when they had the mural instead of a stand? Seem to recall Quinn got a hatty T and scored a real peach from a Wegerle lay-off. Edit: youtubed it. The picture quality was so bad I couldn't confirm the mural, but the 2nd goal was the one I was on about. Absolute stonker.

    Lee Angol to sign?

1 in 3 again, pretty much. That would be ok as long as our midfield chip in with a few, which they did at the back end of last season tbf. I guess this is the best part of pre-season - hoping, praying, predicting. Whatever happens, it's sure to be interesting.

    Lee Angol to sign?

26 in 89 league games. So, what, 1 in 3. Not amazing, but not terrible either.

    Lee Angol to sign?

I thought that too, but according to wiki he has 60ish in 160, so not a bad return. Got 12 for Peterboro at this level the other season.

    Lee Angol to sign?

Perhaps Portsmouth will do a 180 when they hear.

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

This whole pulling the plug thing is an attempt to force Portsmouth's hand. Like a second-hand car salesman saying he's got other interested people coming in an hour.

    McDonald to be sold ?

Where had this story come from? Not doubting it, but if someone has inside knowledge can they spill the beans about incomings too?!?

    Things that annoy you

Traditional motorways are pretty much lawless. People drive above the speed limit, tailgate, stay in the 'fast lane' when they should move over, stay in the middle lane all the time. To quote a song from Bros' Push album, it's a jungle out there.

It's all doom and gloom again...

I think people dismiss the fact that Tony Andreu had a ratio of almost a goal every other game while at Hamilton and Dundee. He gets to that same level this season and he's our 20 goal guy. But instead of looking at positives, we naturally look at negatives. It's the way the human mind works.

Best obscure reference I've seen on here in years.

Beavon on a Season Long Loan to Wrexham

To be fair to the fella, he performed as expected. We knew he wasn't a goalscorer when we signed him.

    City fans negative mindset

The pessimism is understandable in the context of our last relegation, when we hadn't got a goalscorer. Until we get one (assuming he isn't already in the building) then people will continue to worry. The rest of the team looks competitive, though. It's just that final piece of the jigsaw we need.

Conor Chaplin - Signing Confirmed (Finally!)

Which is what most lower-league clubs do (or at least try to). I have no problem with that model, but it is reliant on a consistently good scouting policy. I'm doubtful we have that just yet. It seems only five minutes ago Pressley and Mowbray both bemoaned the fact that we had no scouting database.

    Worst Ever CCFC XI

Eddie Johnson was always my favourite waste of space. I never liked Ally Pickering either.

    Jayden Stockley

1 in 4 goal record across his career, but banged a few in last season.
